As some of you already know, I'm deeply into the story and the beautiful worldspace of Enderal at the moment. I will also continue this for a long time ahead as I want to explore every corner and inch of the remarkable realm. During this weekend, I spent some time with good old Skyrim again as I've reconstructed a lot of the land in sense of what mods I use. I've also begun the hefty work on revamping all my characters or mostly the old ones I did back in 2015-2017 at least. This means I will start a full project in backtracking in the steps of those characters up to the point where they meet their assigned follower. This guy in the images here - Larnach - was the very first character I did when I returned to Skyrim and started modding it, so he's obviously first out. It's going to be a long long serie of images, but I've had a lot of fun with it this weekend and will therefor try and see it through. I have so many more cosmetic character design options today which means I can give a better vision about how the characters are intended in my written world.
Each character will continue on a save I've made for each race, so don't be too surprised if we get inside Bleak Falls Barrow and it's stuffed with Draugr Deathlords or what else once the save gets to a higher level. It could be a cool angle of it all too as I'm generally just swapping face presets. The world will also change and with it the LUT's I use. I play with four seasons and this whole Dragonborn saga starts during summer. I intend to stick with one LUT per month and try and find a fitting LUT for each month passing. Not sure how it will work yet, but for now this is the LUT I've choosen for Last Seed and the game is at the moment propped with my Summer setup.
All this backtracking might also mean I will get a chance to start collecting a variety of different shots of whatever occurs during the travels. I give no promises yet, but it might end up with a bunch of captures that I can use to hand out another theme for the Theme Event. I haven't tossed that aside, even if it's been a while. We'll see what happens.
Thanks for watching!
I like especially this for the asking facial expression and this with the spider.
The Lut suits perfectly for Late Summer and it gives a completely new vibe to Riverwood
I will however keep the idea of different LUT's for the different months when playing Skyrim. I've been switching LUT's so often for a time now, I feel it would be nice to keep on the same for at least a few ingame days...
Larnach sends his regards, saying he's honoured to hear you like him concerned...
It's great to dust off old chars and take them for a spin again. Being your first modded char, he must have some fond memories for you
But, I want to start it at least and work myself through as many characters as I can. I'm not going to re-make them all completely, simply smoothing out some jagged lines with the sculpting function (which I never used in the beginning), perhaps switch a few hairstyles and bodypaints so that I can delete others I hardly use, upgrade the eyes because I'm using different eye mods nowadays. Those sort of things...
And yes, Larnach is quite the special guy! He's been the "first one out" in plenty of RPG's, ever since I started playing Baldur's Gate. He's still on the go in Pathfinder: Kingmaker too for an example - an Aldori Swordlord - as well as here in Skyrim, but he's also the one who has finished the most RPG's main questlines over the years. Nowadays I'm using another character as my first, a Spellsword character named Zareni....
Found the sky - mountains shots very beautiful!
Thank you!
He's a handsome looking chap
Been busy rebuilding old characters myself lately, throwing out outdated mods, etc. It shocked me how quickly a set up can get out of date !
Yes, that's exactly what I've been doing for the last few weeks with my Skyrim as well. I've got so many mods downloaded and I need to toss a great bunch away, partly for saving up on memory, but also for getting rid of stuff I never use (or hardly). My landscapes and seasons are sort of completed and the result of the summer setup is what we see in the game at the moment. Character cosmetics are being processed right now and to better do this, I'm reworking my oldest characters and make them more dependant on the same mods I normally use. This way I can "release" a few others from my harddrive. It's quite fun too, seeing these first old characters we did when we played Skyrim "at dawn"...
Riverwood is a very lovely small hamlet and the near surroundings are actually very pretty too...
He'll be around for one more set as the follower he's going for resides inside Bleak Falls Barrow...
