Vanilla-friendly retexture of all dragons in the base game and DLCs. Native 4K by 8K resolution for both diffuse and normal map. Much reduced specular.
Bellyaches has superior colors, but I suppose vanilla could still work well enough. And I just saw you would need permission to use Bellyaches work.
Keep in mind the Ancient dragon texture is half the resolution of the other dragons for some reason, even in the HD DLC (this is fixed in Bellyaches, but again, permissions), so that one will likely end up looking much worse than the others. Alduin is also only 2048x2048, very low res for such a huge monster (he'd need 8k to look really sharp).
Yea, I already ran into some of these issues. What I meant is, if there are sensible fixes in those retextures, I will try to replicate them. Like Odahviing's missing eyes for example. I don't agree with all of the changes though, and I already took different approaches for some of the mentioned issues.
So far I am working with Alduin at 4K native resolution. The Ancient Dragon will be 4K by 8K like the others.
LOLOLOLOL I just thought today: wouldn’t it be cool to have 8k textures for dragons? I mean we will in 2k20 already and modding has gone so far. and BAM! here you come! AWESOME! Look forward to it!!
