About this image
I've been experimenting quite a bit with custom meshes and textures lately. It's kind of a trial and error process to get some of my ideas working ingame. So far I haven't really focussed on making 100% custom meshes myself since they just take a lot of time to make and right now I want to focus on understanding the basics of some of the nif shaders, export settings and rigging. I took the Barkeeper outfit mesh for this one, chopped off the arms, gave it a...well...shall we say "lower cut neckline" and some fresh textures. I quite like the way it turned out, the fabric wrinkles could have been better but eh...it's a start.
For those who notice I also created a new hair mesh. I deleted some hair strains from KSHairdo's "Persona" hair and combined it with the scalp of my hair mesh from Apachii''s mod. Combining the two gave me so many transparency issues since the BSDismembermentskin re-arranges the vertex sorting (WHY?!) which causes the alpha layers of the mesh to glitch ingame. I manage to export the hair mesh without a dismemberment strip which solved the problem. The hair mesh looks great BUT it turns transparent against LOD, the skybox and anything else in the distance?!
Anyone else had this problem before? I feel like I'm missing a nif property in nifskope. Anyway temporarily solved it by changing the alpha property values which creates harsh transparency edges as opposed to smooth ones.
Oh yeah, the screenshot is kind of lazy, but I was creatively drained after getting through all the bugs. I think he deserves better so I'll make a proper screenshot later with the same character. ;)

Always see something great here!
So far I only had problems on SE with the KS Hair, but that got fixed by the Modder.
Was your problem similar for KS? It might be worth to compare the nif structure and settings for oldrim nifs and se. Going to give it a shot this weekend!
Like a Bug or Glitch. Peple than made a fix. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25492
Sadly I know little about making hair but it looks good! I hope you get it to work.
