      We managed to get rid of most of the wood--a lot of folks that live in old houses or up in the hills in our area depend on wood fireplaces for heating and one guy hauled away about 98% of it. Yay! Thanks so much!

   Your characters are always unique having a strong magnetic personality.
   With all these little details - the overlay, warpaint, jewelry etc. -, her perfectly fitting pose and the well chosen DoF it‘s a piece of art. Your women are definitely my kind of women.

      Thanks very much, Marina! Funny thing, stripped of her face paint (and make her hair auburn) and she bears more than a passing resemblance to one of my maternal aunts. And the piercing looks she can give . . . well, it reminds me a lot of my brown-eyed mom when she had picked up on her radar that one of us kids may have done something she wouldn't approve of. LOL My itty bitty mom could have probably stopped a tank with one of those looks. Anyway, I digress--I like strong women (and by strong, I don't mean being witches like some people think) so I tend to gravitate in that direction. Hope you had a great weekend!

      By the way, it‘s always interesting to read something personal, thank you for sharing your tree experience. We are having a tree that‘s raising the street with its root ... but as long as nobody complains ... Our squirrels need it!

    Well - the Viking women were known to be strong an independent. And the Vikings liked jewelry - and to dress up. And that is a fact. At least as far as our archaeologists can tell She's looking great. I wonder which British noble family had to give up their gold....

       Thanks, Steff! They were strong and independent and they also confirmed recently that a much touted "epitome" of a Viking warrior male discovered in a Viking burial in 1878 (I think), is in fact, a woman.
