Thank you very much for the kind words ! I agree that she looks kinda sad although that wasn't my intention, I swear ^^. I originally tried a more neutral look, but I think the brow shape makes her look a bit sad. I planned to take a few more shots of her and I'll try to make her look more happy there .
Well, I certainly am for more images of her! And if she was lost in thought or missing someone... that expression is perfect AND natural. Haha, I just thought maybe there was some story there... maybe she was just tired like me!
Expressions are a new point of interest to me. I just started using them in my recent sets - but it can make things interesting!
You are definitely right that expressions can make a huge difference and I noticed them in your sets and they perfectly reflected the characters thoughts, feelings and personalities and made the scenes look more alive . The idea of her being tired might not be too far off since she is already lying on the floor although a bed might be more comfortable .
Gorgeous closeup. Monitors are obviously wider than tall and we should see more horizontal laying down poses like this. Pretty face even with the scar; lovely eyes and eyebrows. I like the short practical hairstyle. Nice necklace and a lovely enhancing bodice. Great version of Mirabelle; one of my favorite game characters. Beautifully done, Laoshan!!
Thanks a lot for commenting gurleygirl . I agree that horizontal shots have a lot of advantages due to the monitiors shape and I guess I'll use more of them in the future along with diagonal ones which have the advantages of both horizontal and vertical ones . I'm also glad you like her looks. I really like the short hairstyles especially with braided hair or with a knot ^^. The outfit is a mashup which I might show more in the future, because I intend to use her again in another set . I'm sorry that I have to disappoint you, but this character isn't my take on the actual Mirabelle but a standalone character, although I have to agree that she is a great character in the game !
