Not a fan of the Thalmor obviously :) They are a political group and hence to me they are making more of a choice to do what they do. So they pay the price, just like those who sometimes oppose them and fail.
Well, there are many chapters published in a short time. Want to continue with Nataly's parts next. I'm very curious what happens next.
As usual I tend to enjoy a more "adventure book" style of writing - some serious stuff but overall a mix of general adventure with some levity. It is just how my writing tends to come out.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Also it was also great to see Grim relatives – Hircine and Fenrir. Looks like Fenrir did not loose his sense of humor, given his remark about Grim getting lazy, lol. Too bad that the Twins were captured, they were really powerful and to be able to capture them sure speaks a lot about strength and guile of the one who did it. Fenrir is right about Thalmor I think and it would be really bad if someone of Daedric Princes is aiding them.
Saarth was magnificent in her power and beauty… She sure likes nature, given her reluctance to stay in Roriksted but I ma very glad that she did, for if she did not Thalmor would have taken a lot of prisoners. Thankfully due to her powers the accursed Thalmor were no match for her. And speaking of Thalmor… they seem to finally learn some subtlety and acting stealthy, for even Saarth and Grim with his relatives do not know who their real enemy is yet. The news of Molag Bal possible involvement are also not good, for he sure caused a lot of troubles to everyone in the past and him working with Thalmor… that would be a deadly alliance.
Sad to see Grim and Erik along with Wolfgar leaving their peaceful vacation, but the state of peaceful existence can’t last forever in Skyrim, for there is always someone scheming, plotting and causing troubles… And Dannee would also stop her mundane cases in detective agency to do something more serious, like trying to find three lost artifacts or at least the names of those who took them.
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work!
I also enjoyed getting Hircine and Fenrir back into play. Hircine will stay on the sidelines though - this isn't his battle although the Twins are two of his favorite hunting ground pack members so he does have some interest of course. Yet, as he often does, he will leave the fight to them to prove themselves. I also suspect if any Prince is aiding the Thalmor they, like Hircine, will keep a mostly low profile and act through their agents or followers. I believe the Prince's tend to prefer it that way anyhow - using their followers against their opponents like pawns in a chess game.
More to come of course :) Thanks again!
The image of Grim leaning at that big stone with Fenrir in front of him is a superb image, came out realy nice.
Also like that last one,.. great atmosphere in that one
The three items are mentioned at the start - Keening, Sunder, and Wraithguard. They were used by the Tribunal to tap into Lorkhan's Heart to gain immortality. In Morrowind the player uses them and in the process Lorkhan's heart vanishes. So did the items but they all turn up in Skyrim and can be found by the Last Dragonborn (this is all vanilla lore).
Since Grim is Lorkhan's avatar, and somewhat his creation via Fenrir, that is the reference Losti made.
You can learn about the three artifacts here if interested: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Kagrenac%27s_Tools
Thanks and cheers!
I figure Saarh is a pretty powerful person considering her past and position. Certainly enough for a small band of Thalmor that were not prepared, or expecting, that level of opposition. I expect there will be much stronger opposition later on though.
More to come ;)
