Excellent! I have to start with the last image and how perfect it is. I do wonder what the old hunter and the little pup mean for the future. Really enjoyed the descriptions of both the fight between Saarh and the Thalmor, with the quote that Thalmor always deserve to die by the beast to be spot on, and the attempts by Fenrir and Hirsine to track down where the twins went. Still got to wonder who is really behind this to be able to cover their tracks that well.

Thanks very much Wade for the feedback/comment and glad you liked it. I did a little side story on the hunter and pup. Nothing like your detailed side stories - just a small post - but he took over my imagination. Might do a few more small ones like that.

Not a fan of the Thalmor obviously :) They are a political group and hence to me they are making more of a choice to do what they do. So they pay the price, just like those who sometimes oppose them and fail.

Excellent beginning Jonathan. It's great to see Saarh again as well and to see her power on display.

This was a really exciting beginning. Lots of mysterious things are going on. And a lot of people are involved to solve the puzzle.
Well, there are many chapters published in a short time. Want to continue with Nataly's parts next. I'm very curious what happens next.

Thanks Gerd! Aye Nataly posted a lot but she has her own story going and her ties to this one are just a side part of it. I had to lay out the ground work. The next two chapters won't be as long. The whole story I am telling is probably 3-5 chapters. Course this one I could have broken into 2-3 chapters but I wanted to keep it together since it covers so much.

This was just, well, wonderful! Enjoyed it thoroughly, so I read it again! And wonderful images and music to go with the narrative. Looking forward to reading more.

Thanks Kindly FBC, appreciate it and glad you enjoyed it! I tend to focus more on the text than images in my longer stories but try to make them line-up somewhat.

Thanks Jacob, very much. A lot of reading I know! I had to lay a lot of groundwork. The rest of the story will be shorter and a bit more focused (or at least that is my plan) now that I have brought folks up to speed and explained some things.

As usual I tend to enjoy a more "adventure book" style of writing - some serious stuff but overall a mix of general adventure with some levity. It is just how my writing tends to come out.

      Glad you enjoyed it!

This is awesome continuation of Grim’s story, wonderfully written and with great, beautifully captured shots! I missed Grim and his team so much and it is a joy to see their new adventures!

Also it was also great to see Grim relatives – Hircine and Fenrir. Looks like Fenrir did not loose his sense of humor, given his remark about Grim getting lazy, lol. Too bad that the Twins were captured, they were really powerful and to be able to capture them sure speaks a lot about strength and guile of the one who did it. Fenrir is right about Thalmor I think and it would be really bad if someone of Daedric Princes is aiding them.

Saarth was magnificent in her power and beauty… She sure likes nature, given her reluctance to stay in Roriksted but I ma very glad that she did, for if she did not Thalmor would have taken a lot of prisoners. Thankfully due to her powers the accursed Thalmor were no match for her. And speaking of Thalmor… they seem to finally learn some subtlety and acting stealthy, for even Saarth and Grim with his relatives do not know who their real enemy is yet. The news of Molag Bal possible involvement are also not good, for he sure caused a lot of troubles to everyone in the past and him working with Thalmor… that would be a deadly alliance.

Sad to see Grim and Erik along with Wolfgar leaving their peaceful vacation, but the state of peaceful existence can’t last forever in Skyrim, for there is always someone scheming, plotting and causing troubles… And Dannee would also stop her mundane cases in detective agency to do something more serious, like trying to find three lost artifacts or at least the names of those who took them.
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work!

Big thanks for the nice comment as well as working with me so closely on the cross-over story. I need to see how you handled the investigation and then I can start work on chapter 3, which will be much shorter. This chapter got so long as I needed to lay so much ground work.

I also enjoyed getting Hircine and Fenrir back into play. Hircine will stay on the sidelines though - this isn't his battle although the Twins are two of his favorite hunting ground pack members so he does have some interest of course. Yet, as he often does, he will leave the fight to them to prove themselves. I also suspect if any Prince is aiding the Thalmor they, like Hircine, will keep a mostly low profile and act through their agents or followers. I believe the Prince's tend to prefer it that way anyhow - using their followers against their opponents like pawns in a chess game.

More to come of course :) Thanks again!

This should indeed be interesting,.. very curious to learn what those items could mean. I have no idea also , like Erik what they could be ad what it means. There is also a clear connection to what the Thalmor are up to, but how and what remains to be seen. I'm curious
The image of Grim leaning at that big stone with Fenrir in front of him is a superb image, came out realy nice.
Also like that last one,.. great atmosphere in that one

Thanks! I had lost all my Twin images on Flickr so had to take two main shots from my older stories - luckily had two on Nexus as a main.

The three items are mentioned at the start - Keening, Sunder, and Wraithguard. They were used by the Tribunal to tap into Lorkhan's Heart to gain immortality. In Morrowind the player uses them and in the process Lorkhan's heart vanishes. So did the items but they all turn up in Skyrim and can be found by the Last Dragonborn (this is all vanilla lore).

Since Grim is Lorkhan's avatar, and somewhat his creation via Fenrir, that is the reference Losti made.

You can learn about the three artifacts here if interested: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Kagrenac%27s_Tools

      Thanks and cheers!

A very nice tie in with Saarh as well as Dannee, seem this will be a mission that will take many to clear up this mystery. Was so wonderful to see Grim and Eric and Wolfgar again. Saarh seems to be very able to care for herself and others, good thing she had decided to stay or it would have been so easy for those assthalmor to come and take the people. I wonder just what is up, are the thalmor again up to no good.

      Thanks Shelley!

I figure Saarh is a pretty powerful person considering her past and position. Certainly enough for a small band of Thalmor that were not prepared, or expecting, that level of opposition. I expect there will be much stronger opposition later on though.

      More to come ;)
