Some notes on the creation of this set, if interested... and bored...

I will be responding to all our your awesome comments soon. For anyone viewing this for the first time, view the entire set before clicking on the spoiler button below. I have included some thoughts about this set. For those of you that do things like this, you might already have experienced some of the things I will mention. Haha, there are also two more image outtakes that were too cheesy to use in the set - even for me. But I will share them here, because they made me laugh! Feel free to skip the following long ramblings all together, with no worries! Just more of me being... me.

    Spoiler:
    Show

As I mentioned in the expanded area, and often in the past, when I start doing an image set, it often turns into a story - leading to things that I did not originally intend. But in this case, I had a basic outline for a few things I wanted to accomplish. But this image set was funny to make in so many ways. I shot most of the images together (around 150 images before editing), but stopped between scenes to check what I had so far. But I did not notice several things until I was a few hours into the process - and had released things to the next. So when I came back to add the "story" to the images... I noticed things I had not... and rather than start over, I simply worked those things into the story - while poking fun at my "mistakes"

    • Right out of the gate, there is that giant pitcher on the table! There has to be a forest vs trees concept here - but I was so concentrated on what the characters were doing I didn't notice until too late. Haha, Alex is NOT that big of a drinker - but she does have a fun sense of humor - so she bailed me out by making her comment on it!
    • Next up... I now live farther to the North, but grew up in the "true" midwest of the USA. Cattle country. Maybe a few of you know that I am a carnivore. Steaks, Cheeseburgers... even when I have pizza - there is beef on it! So when I noticed what was on the plates... the horror! So when I saw my PC's expression... I worked that into the story as well. Lady Kathryn and my PC are extremely close... but Lady Kathryn does NOT appreciate late reports! Haha... but we will get to that in the next scene.
    • After noticing the fish... I noticed Mavis had two portions, while Alex had none. So that went into the story as well.
    • I did try to take this scene seriously while shooting it. I tried to give the images some life like qualities by using the "look" console command to have the characters looking in different places across the images. Since I also have all of my characters set at a height of .90, I had to use "SetPos Z nnn" commands to move the characters "up" to get their mugs and/or hands to not be clipping into the table, and "SetPos" X and Y commands to fix clipping into plates, etc. Since I take that much care to make things look right (at times), it makes it even funnier that I didn't notice the other things while shooting the images.
    • In scene two, I found the poses with the books, and thought that they made great images of the characters doing research, with Mavis taking notes... But during the editing process, I realized that my PC was writing in the book, which did not make sense to me! At all. So what to do??? Haha, turn it into the late reports concept, which also served to explain why my PC got fish for dinner. See what I mean? The images and the game often write... or rewrite... the story!
    • Then we come to the "Changing of the Clothes" scene, which was not really intended. It became another "real life" humorous look at the struggles of my Dragonborn. It caused a break in the story, but I couldn't exclude it - so it went into a spoiler in the main set. But here is what happened...
When doing sets, especially for AJ's themed event, I often try to select new outfits and experiment. So I decided to do a few images of that. But when I left the room, I noticed the door - and closed it for privacy sake. Then, I noticed the translucent or semi-transparent glass. Then when I went back in - I decided Mavis would really want her normal clothes - for the next part of the series. So back out I went. Then, when I came back in, I noticed some severe clipping problems in the outfit Alex was wearing. I use a custom bodyslided body of my own design. So all of my outfits have to be converted through Bodyslide - and some bodyslided conversions are simply better than others. And sometimes, mixing parts from different outfits doesn't work. But also, because of the way zzJay had to build some of her W2 and W3 outfits from original models, problems can occur when trying to use the outfits on a CBBE body - or at least with mine. Please note - zzJay did a fantastic job bringing these outfits to Skyrim - and I praise her for that! The point is... I didn't notice until too late... so back out of the room I went again! But that skin tight outfit Alex ended up in was in fact my original choice for her for this series, so at least I had it ready and waiting
    • Finally, those that know me well, know that I am intending a complete playthrough of Skyrim if/when I ever finish tweaking my game. Someday. Maybe with a new PC. But I have a dilemma - who will be my wife during the full playthrough. I have maybe 100 potential followers in my game. Many of them beautiful, brave, intense, exciting... basically awesome! But who to choose? Jordis was my wife in my first full playthrough, and other than my quick marriage to Mavis to test to make sure the marriage sequence worked for her, Jordis has been my wife in all my image sets. But Alex has been my most awesome companion across games and all of Tamriel. She was in my Morrowind game, although just as an experiment. She was a critical character in my Oblivion game, and I had created an entire sequence of modded areas and quests involving her. Haha, although just like now - she and another character were my top two girlfriends competing for my attention But in Oblivion, marriage wasn't an available option. Finally, two of my closest Skyrim friends have given me one of their characters. One of them is not interested in me, because... she just isn't. Although I am certainly interested in her! But the other character, the red headed one mentioned at the end of the main story... well... I have been in love with her since I first saw her last year. She was created by another modder that I have helped on some occasions in the past, doing some work on his mod. A mosaic of 10 images of her has been the wallpaper on my second monitor for around a year. She even is in paintings on the walls of one of my player homes. But like the other "gift" character to me, she will not ever be shown in my game like my normal girls. They remain private, special gifts. So while this beautiful redhead Dwemer expert would make a fantastic choice, I am not sure I want to exclude my wife from future image sets. So I have this huge conundrum (or maybe a dilemma ) about who to choose as my wife. But the point is... the private whispered moment with Lady Kathryn, who I also love, was not intended. When I had her bend down for a private moment with my PC... those emotions and words just... happened.

So there you have it - my story about the story... so far. Haha, if anyone is still reading this... well... you need to get a life as much as I do! But if you have, thank you for being interested in what I am doing, and my intense connection to this amazing game and all the amazing characters that I have combined, with a ton of my own tweaks, into my special world. I am honored that you think it is interesting at all, because in the end, it is...

    My Skyrim - My Way!!

Haha, almost forgot the extra images. These were taken during the final scene, but even I could not include them! the captions would have read:

    Be strong!

    Fight hard!

Thanks for laughing with me - or even AT me!

Thanks to those that support me - I could not get motivated to do sets like this... or other things... without your kind words and support! I will be responding to comments later today.

Wow! I love the story you've put together here and definitely can appreciate the work that goes into making a scene like this. Also appreciated your "spoiler" post where you "talk shop": always interesting to hear other's experiences and how they handle things like this.

Thank you! For your kind words - and for reading all of my many, many words too - especially in the spoiler! Seriously, if even a few people read the extra things about the set, it makes it worth writing it all down.

Now i see what you've been up to and it turned out splendidly this set made me smile multiple times and the images are just great, it is always nice you find an occasion to dress your beautiful ladies up they are simply a treat for the eyes! battle gear also suits them very well
Well, your character has definitely a hard choice to make sometime, looking forward how this story develops
You can really breathe live into those shots by the way you staged them attentively and your narrative, which is maybe so strong because we already have a good impression of your characters temper.

Thank you so much, my friend! Coming from you, that means a lot! It is amazing how attached one can get to characters in a game - but after doing some of these image set stories - they really do become "characters". Your Heroines are amazing both for who they are, and what they are facing in your incredible EPIC story! And I have become attached to them as well.

It remains to be seen if I can pull off this much smaller story line... but I might just have a trick or two up my sleeve! Also... there may be more than one story going on here... and the longer term story will be outside of the scope of this current one - and... it may have just gotten more complicated with a change last night! Stay tuned - and thanks again!

Thanks so much! That gif is awesome! But be careful what you ask for... because I added a sticky post with some information on how the image set evolved as it was done... and there is a lot of reading required! If you read it, when you are done.. you will look like this: or maybe:

Well, I'm no milk drinker! But to me, life without meat, especially beef, would not be worth living! Apologies to any of you vegans out there! And yes, I know my life might be a bit shorter because of it... but soooo worth it! Dang, I just finished breakfast, and I am already thinking about my delicious dinner!

Daggers hiding under the dress? Isn't that how your supposed to do it

I really liked the work you put into this chapter. It's always satisfying when you get something in your head and you manage to put it together in the screenshots. For me, any success causes more extravagant and difficult things to come to mind

Very nice overall and the effort is appreciated. Looking forward to the next

Haha, it certainly is for Mavis! But she does prefer them in easier reach, on her hip or on her ankle - depending on her mood... and outfit!

Thanks so much for your kind words. I am going somewhere with this story - but even I don't know the path it will take, exactly. Most of this set was not planned when I started it - which is how my best image sets always seem to happen.
