About this image
Welcome!
When I did the invitation set for the 9th theme, I was a bit at loss because I simply had very few appropriate images of my own for the theme. I had to dig quite deep to find just a bunch. I know a lot of kind people encouraged me regarding this - and for this I thank you - but I had something far more epic in mind when I thought of the theme. Maybe I should've waited? I don't know, sometimes thoughts just start to conquer your mind, but regardless I was restless and anxious about the 9th theme. I wanted it to happen...and to me personally it came with a cost.
The 10th theme is quite the opposite! I had images ready for this one for a long time, yet what did I do? Well, I spent this whole day wandering in Skyrim to get a batch of freshly taken shots and this time I'm very satisfied with my result. The theme is also a bit special - and some might remember I mentioned something about it earlier - because this is the first of a few sets I plan to do where I got a suggestion about a theme...which was perfect because I had plans for it anyway.
When I started this screenshot hobby, about three and a half years ago, I got acquainted with a very kind and generous man with the same fascination for the beauty of nature as I'm having. I did mostly landscapes back then, but also shots of animals which he also did with the same interest. We're both still around here and some weeks ago he said I should do a theme about creatures. I'm sure he didn't really mean it as a suggestion, but I made it into one, only "creatures" involves a lot of critters...and the monsters and mythological beasts will have their shine in the spotlight too eventually.
So instead, I remembered how our love for wildlife brought us together and figured the 10th theme will be kind of an anniversary, dedicated to a motif that made me start doing screenshots in the first place. The very skilled friend I'm talking about is obviously Erwin - if you had not already figured it out - and no matter what he will say, this is HIS theme, HIS suggestion...
...and he's still going so say no it's not, because he's polite, friendly and stubborn like that!
The tenth theme is...
"Wildlife"
...and it's now opened for everyone, no matter your skills or if you use ENB's or not, either you're playing Skyrim LE or SE. All is welcomed. The tenth event theme will be closed at midnight on Sunday 30 September, CET.
This theme should be an easy one, and I only ask that you keep the animals to wild species only (prehistoric are applied). The domestic and tame species I have other plans for - as I had with the horses - so stay in the wilderness for this one. I suspect we'll see a grand lot of beautiful and serene images which I'm really looking forward too, because this theme lays close to my heart. But...if you're able to make something out-of-the-box for this theme with your ideas, then by all means bring it on! Story sets involving animals perhaps (I know I did one once upon a time)?
Your imagination is the only limit as usual and it's to be encouraged, not blocked, so don't hesitate about joining in if you feel your shots might be awkward or "not interesting enough". The event is nothing about being the best or shine the most. Just something fun for us all...
...and I do expect a lot of wild goats which is why I didn't added any in my collection here. They are the true superstars of Skyrim in my opinion!
So, step into the wild and observe the life therein and return safely with your captures! Remember to pause and absorb the beauty surrounding you too. It's soothing for your soul! Breathe it in!

I'll see what i can do...
Old images are just as welcomed as new ones, so see what you can do. I know having you included in the final presentation would inspire so many screenshot-lovers here at Skyrim LE!
I am now so inspired to do something :D
The main shot is very dear to me as well. I don't take shots of horkers very often, but this fellow reminds me of an old wise grandfather telling tales from a world we no longer remember...
This is going to be a fun theme, looking forward to it
Your pictures of wildlife are brilliant, all together. Very special for me are the white swan and the conjured elk
A small suggestion does not make it to be "My Theme" all the thinking and preparing com from you, not me.
I am pleased though it turned out into this theme, in wich I do feel ,as said, very comfortable.
So,.. I'll see what I can come up with. No ideas yet,.. but they will probably come along the way.
Great shots for the theme, you caught their "essence" really nice I think,..
I also know you never fully suggested it, but we talked about doing something regarding "creatiures", and as I wrote here in the introduction, we've always had a connection when it comes to Skyrim wildlife, so it was pretty much perfect. My plan is to have a few sets every now and then where someone else have been involved - either it's being intensional or not - and you got first spot in this idea.
Glad you like the essence being captured with these images, that was what I was aiming for, so it's nice to hear it shows!
