I didn't give up on it. :P
Everything is pretty much fixed, it's all working. Got the ground models made, the first person meshes done, the stats fixed up (slightly below glass armour) - should be ready for release soon.
Big thanks to Artsick for cleaning up my mess in the rigging department - it wouldn't be at this state if not for their help!
If anyone has any ideas for alternate texture variants, comment them here and I'll consider them. :)

Maybe a dark version for dark characters, assassin/thief etc, or brown/green for scout/rogue ?
