You're a closed door, you don't let anyone in
No emotions, no feelings, no trust, nothing.
You shut out everyone around you
or anyone that gets close to you.
You've been hurt, you've lost trust,
you only think the worst.
When really,
you're only hurting yourself.
The people around you want to see your happiness,
your smile,
your laugh,
your heart
But you won't let them in.
You're destroying yourself
with thoughts and "what ifs".
Don't blame the other people
for what they get to miss.
Don't let your emotional scars show
Don't give them the power of seeing you down
Let go of your past
Take the risk, drop every fear
Say how what you feel,
what you think, what you want.
And if you couldn't do it today,
there's always tomorrow.
You may be broken now
But you won't be forever.
