Finally getting a chance to get to my backlog. I could just endorse, but I had to say that little Galla's endearing naivete and youth are so much fun to read about. I've never before thought about the monk from the psijic order being silenced by the enthusiasm of a young girl, but it was tremendously funny and heart warming at the same time.

    Excellent chapter

I have a very strong policy of not forcing anyone to comment - but at the same time, I'm really happy that you did! It's great to hear you enjoyed this more light-hearted narrative, thank you.

Happy belated Birthday, and a lot of good wishes for you MA defence, you'll be finely done

I thought the change of style actually fits Galla quite well, she seems to be extremely cheery under the worst circumstances herself I do like your more Gloomy writing for her parents.

Agonizing hours of suffering and pain may take as long as a bat of an eyelash. One moment you stand on the battlefield, bloody and soaked by mourning rains, the next you are clean and warm, celebrating the victory. What took weeks – months – years – now is but a memory, and the eternity of peace becomes less of an abstract concept.

You way of wording is astonishing!

Thank you very much! I thought the change of voice might be a refreshing break from my usual gloominess

Been away from Skyrim and fallen a bit behind but did enjoy this humurous take on the quest when she met the Monk from the Order. That was well done :)

    Also Happy Birthday!

Thank you kindly! I enjoyed writing that first part, it was a nice break from my usual scene-chewing angst.

      True dat :)

I have finished most of your earlier stories (the previous two before this one) but was during lunch or treadmill with my tablet which doesn't let me comment much. So falling a bit behind. Been caring for sick dog, work is a bear lately, and playing some other games so been less focused on Nexus of late than my usual want.

It is nice to see you so active though and writing so much - wish I could get back into it myself. I have been a bit aimless since Grim retired as I put so much time and effort in his stories it is hard to decide what next or focus (not to mention all the work as well and I have some other priorities now). I have been writing for Fenn in Fallout 4 here and there, as well as Jonathan, but more shorter stories and lore.

Ah well enough rambling - good luck with finishing that MA and all that!

Rambling is always welcome in my comment section - especially concerning people's writing processes. I find them fascinating.

So sorry to hear about your dog. Is the good boy fine now? I'm sending you both my best wishes! Yeah, I totally get being busy - now that my MA is almost done I'm getting more and more tasks at work, not to mention family matters I have to take care of. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a new rhythm to my day - and I wish the same to you

Everyone experiences a block at times, especially after years and years of creative productivity. I remember you were always quite a well-known figure here (a mayor of our little town, so to speak... the Nexusville? Nexus-upon-the-Valley? I don't know where I'm going with this), and a very prolific author. With such an amount of world-building and immersion into your series it is natural that your brain needs a break before taking first steps into a fresh story. But it will be ready for a new chapter soon, you'll see.

Thanks :) Well not really a block. I have a whole book plotted out for Kavel Bloodmoon I could work on. As i replied to your other post he is very dark and tragic and a very different type of style for me (although still somewhat epic since Hircine is involved but not like he is with Grim - more quiet and more focused on his slightly darker hunting and animalistic side).. Then there is Wolf, my character from a real life book idea I have been toying with for decades. I wrote a little about him using Skyrim just for the setting for images. His story starts in ancient Norse days and then jumps to modern-day earth on the verge of all at war (which I could tie into FO4 if I need a game engine for shots).

Seldom out of ideas it is more energy. I can get a little OCD when I am working on a large saga (like a book with 20 chapters to be written) and it eats into my time and even work. Also, once, I started a long story when I was still burnt (the rise of the silverhand and how they planned to turn the common folk against Grim, the BWC, and all werewolves) and after 4 chapters abandoned it ... and felt so bad I deleted every post on it. Which was a shame as later when I was more energized I might have finished. Point being I don't want to commit to a year long story unless I think I can finish it.

I do miss those past days of glory on the nexus but time moves on as they say :) Anyhow thanks for the comments :)

Wow, happy birthday, Kayol! Wish you all the best! Hope your MA defence will go allright ^_^

Awesome entry, I was positively sure that Psijic will laugh at her reaction ^________^ Awwww, Galla is so adorable!
I always believed that adventuring is hard. Food, sleep, being warmed - everything is hard out in the wilderness, when the contents of a backpack are the only providers of said things. And I don't even start about delving into ruins and caves O_O But I also believe that it's something you can get accustomed to... Being a little homesick is perfectly normal in such situation anyway ^_^

Thank you! I really hope it will, can't wait for it to be over.

I think such a serious and important spectre couldn't just break out laughing, now could it? It had to deliver its McGuffin of a message

Happy Birthday , dear I wish for the near future much luck for the MA

I really like your new writing style when the author involves him/herself into the storytelling as a third person-view ... I don't know, how it is called exactly, but it's very entertaining, because I have the feeling that you speak directly with me, the reader, while you are telling the story...

Not to forget, your pics are brilliant as always

Thank you! I can't wait to be done with my MA - the defence is so close I can almost taste it.

Great to hear you like this type of narration! This kind of voice is called "intrusive narrator," but there are some other types added to mix. I quite enjoyed writing in this manner so I'm glad it ended up readable.
      Thanks again!
