Another large cave and more vampires and thralls.  Some were harder to defeat than others but they all fell to the combined might of Freyda's bow, Bishop's bow and knife, and Karnwyr's teeth.  Another tunnel, another cavern, then a stream with a guard that was disposed of easily.

Sounds of fighting came to them from ahead.  They glanced at one another, than went running through the tunnel to a lit chamber with a huge statue of a god of some sort dominating it.  A dog was fighting more vampires, and Freyda and Bishop waded in, taking out three while the dog and Karnwyr did away with the last.

The dog, a scruffy-looking wolfhound, sat up, panted happily, then spoke to Freyda, much to her shock.  "I'm glad to see you here!"

"Did you speak to me?"

"Yeah, when the sky is full of fire-breathing lizards and two-legged cats walk the roads, are you surprised?  My name is Barbas, and my master is Clavicus Vile, the daedric prince of wishes and bargains.  He and I have had a - falling out, and I want to be reunited with him.  You see, I was trying to get back into his good books, but he ain't listening to me.  Maybe he'll listen to you.  Speak to the statue there." 

Freyda shook her head in bafflement.  This was too odd for words, but she did, nevertheless.  To her great surprise, an echoing voice came to her, one that she instantly mistrusted as it oozed deception ad falsehood.  She pleaded for the dog Barbas and he to be reunited, but Clavicus initially refused.  Then he reluctantly agreed to do so if she fetched a magical axe for him from a place called Rimerock burrow.  Freyda agreed, then asked if there was a treasure chest hanging around.

Clavicus professed ignorance but Barbas told her there was one up the steps behind the statue.  The daedric prince growled but Freyda was already sprinting up the steps and beheld a large treasure trunk.  She knelt and reached forward...
