About this image

I know it's already been a million years but I was never happy with my retexture for the Resplendent armor, it just didn't look metallic and realistic enough but then Czano did this retexture and I finally got inspiration to give it another go. And hey, it's turning out how I want it this time. The metallic sheen is so much better now compared to before, I learned a lot both by studying actual armor and professional textures from other games. Hopefully I won't have to redo too much from scratch this time, so maybe it will actually get finished some day ...

Ignore the current mess on everything but the chestplate part with the eagle, lol. It's obviously not supposed to look like that.

    This is pretty dope!

Question! Is there gonna be a dark version of this? Like, the Abyssal one?

    Awesome armor bruv!

Looks very promising! I really like Czano's retexture (the metal at least), but he did change some details. That eagle looks great, hope to see it released.

You said more fun. I have no problem with that at all. Let me know when it's ready and updated and we'll port it and make it look pretty.

The eagle body is what more or less i wanted to recreate with my DryMud Texture for the Dragon Carved Armor Set. But working only on 2D i failed for the most.

The Deepness you achieved here is top notch. I would not be as good as you in 10 years and i can only work with mouse and keyboard so i will try to update it but i will take me long time to refine the smaller details. I mean my work is very cheap but someone likes it so i feel the need to improve it some more until it reaches a decent level.

This is quite inspiring, good work!

Well, I too work in 2D (as in, I only use photoshop) which will never be as effective as using something like Substance Painter, but I've discovered some tricks and methods that give a very legit looking result. Nearly all of the magic is within the normal maps, and those are what I always used to fail at, but I have a better understanding of how they actually work now.

Having a pen tablet does make everything a lot faster and easier, pen pressure is immensely helpful in so many situations, and the pen is much less straining on the hand than a mouse. If you wanna get serious about digital graphics it would be worth to invest in one, I think.

I don't wanna get serious in pretty much anything, even less about digital graphics.
But i do admit that i have no idea how normal maps (i think they are the "_n.dds" textures, right ?) are made. OBVIOUSLY. I have no intention to install anything more than paint.net that i use now cause my windows partition is basically all dedicated to skyrimSE and everything it needs to be modded and be fast and good. Unfortunately i can't upgrade my hardware and even worse as you know building a new pc from scratch now is... Not really convenient. Probably i just need a good tutorial on normal maps to improve my mod that 20-30% and then let it be.
Thank you! Oh and your profile picture is really nice :D

And here I was, considering another character that doesn't use this armor. Guess I'll wait a bit longer before starting anew.

It really looks amazing - keep it up!

Oh good! I was worried you had given up on it entirely. I'm a bit of a Resplendent enthusiast so it's good to see you back at it again :)
