I'm going to take the time to read the text (English is not my strong point), but in advance I can tell you that these images are really wonderful. The strong light contrasts give the action an impressive force. Great work!

I certainly believe you did a marvelous job at capturing the theme in its element. Your imagery has inspired me and for that I applaud you.

Thanks! Part of me wishes I could have shot for just a bit longer to get a little more out of that splash effect, but time limits are just a fact of life when you turn everything in this game up to eleven.

A really beautiful set, passionate and touching, but the black & white also generates a mystic distance to the viewer.
The mood of the wild but still picking up the peaceful scenery.
Wild and dovish at once. Like the soul of a horse.

    Nicely joined together

(PS: This was my 100th post. I am happy I spent it on such a beautiful set! )

Marvellous shots! I've always been a fan of B&W images, so this was a very good choice, especially if you bring it all back to the basics of colourless shapes and forms. There's a great momentum to these images too that gives the set a very nice cinematic feeling, very dynamic and true to the sense of an adventurers life. The dark ground and the bright skies gives a good contrast, creating wonderful silhouette effects of the rider!

I'm sorry if this theme made you struggle, but it seems you came out a winner with a bit more wisdom of your abilities too! Personally, I truly like this set a lot!

Thanks, dude. Coming from you especially as curator of this thing and ace shooter in your own right, that means a lot. Never apologize for offering a challenge- creative struggle makes everything and everyone better at their best. Plus this whole scene here has got to be the most gracefully supportive bunch of artists I've run into in a long country mile. Can't wait to see what everyone's stuff looks like all mashed together!

Pretty! Using a B&W LUT certainly helps with the relatively pixelated horse models too, you hide a lot of the rougher edges that can distract when put next to characters with high poly models so it's certainly a good choice and I've done it too with some of the stuff I've been preparing.

One of the biggest problems I've had is that while I certainly had ideas especially for some action shots (leaping off a galloping horse towards a low flying dragon comes to mind), posing on horses in a believable manner can be.. problematic. I'll probably figure something out.

Anyways don't sell yourself short, it's a great set!

Ha! Yep, that disguise of naff models was a pleasant side-effect of the whole desaturation thing. You're not kidding about the posing problems either. There are a couple of horse poses in the public poser packs (Gomapero has a couple, if I'm not mistaken) but I just assumed someone else would probably use them, probably with more planning and intention than I was going to put into it. CE0 has some great leaping motorcycle poses in their OSA pack, but that's not really my style, and someone already created an awesome motorcycle-as-horse set for the compilation.

Anyway, thank you. I love the undead horse shots (and the Lady Godiva) you've got on your Flickr. Hope to see some from that herd make it onto the Nexus...
