Guardians of the Priests
Inspired by the designs of the Quinari from the Dragon Age games, the Sonaak Vahlok (literally 'Priest
Guardians') were half-dragon hybrids created and enlisted to defend the
strongholds of their masters during the Merethic Era's Dragon War. They were
bred for their sheer power, commanding presence, and exceptional combat skills.
Unfortunately, intelligence and compassion were drilled out of them, causing their race to be mercenary in their approach to invaders and enemies, and leaving them to the
whims of their merciless overlords.
The Sonaak Vahlok have a higher bone density than humans, and produce curling
horns from their skulls, often plated in silver or bronze. That, along with
their unusual eyes and metallic-tinted skin tones, are the only indicators of
their breeding.
Ashildr Brazen-Gilt
Chieftain Ashildr is the war commander of the Sonaak Vahlok and one of the greatest warriors of her
time. She is the first of her race to display a greater level of intelligence
and independence than her predecessors. Ashildr defeated her former chieftain
in open combat, as with tradition, claiming leadership over the Sonaak Vahnok
and serving the Priests of Bromjunaar.
