About this image

A little backstory for those that care; my character, Beren (Take a guess of where I took that name), is actually a long lost and forgotten relative of Tiber Septim, which is where he got his Dragonborn powers, which he hasn't discovered yet. He was found as a small child in the rubble of the Imperial City after the Battle of the Red Ring, the last battle in the Great War, by the General Decianus, leader of the Redguard forces.

Decianus recognized Beren's heritage, and was going to present him to the emperor to restore the Septim bloodline, but the White-Gold Concordant was made, and Hammerfell was cut out of the empire. Due to anger, revenge, and a hope to rejoin Hammerfell with the empire later on, Decianus decided to take Beren and raise him as his own son.

Beren was raised in the central city of Alik'ra, surrounded by Crowns, a subset of the Redguard that are descended from royalty from the Redguards' homeland. The Crowns are incredibly isolationist, and generally are not fond of any other races, especially after the White-Gold Concordant. Needless to say Beren did not have the most enjoyable upbringing.

Beren is instinctively an intellectual man, wanting nothing more to study books and scrolls in a library, but Redguard culture was not very accepting of this. Redguards value prowess in combat above all else. Wanting to prove himself to others, and to his adopted father, Beren spent a large amount of his time training in dual wielding and other Redguard battle tactics.

Finally, after training for years and years, and continually being rejected to enter any knightly orders, Beren decided to make a name for himself. He left Hammerfell, saying goodbye to his adopted father and very few friends. He made way for Cyrodiil, hoping to find out more about his original parents, but more importantly, prove himself a warrior worthy of Hammerfell.

He passed through the Southern part of Skyrim and headed through the Pall Pass, where he stumbled upon a skirmish between Imperials and Stormcloaks. The Stormcloaks thought him another Imperial Soldier, and the Imperials thought him a traitor (he was wearing blue). You know what happens next.
