About this image

I really like Oblivion better than Skyrim so my sister and I are making custom meshes (and textures soon!) for a Cheydinhal styled house. It's going to be moved to Falkreath instead of Whiterun, and possibly the entrance to the DB sanctuary. I'm doing the 3D modelling and she's doing the texture work.

I loved Cheydinhal. I don't know that I would like it to replace any city in skyrim but I would love to be able to visit Cheydinhal in a separate world space. "flyin, flyin so high...".

edit this is making me miss Oblivion.

You can get Oblivion and all DLCs for relatively cheap on Steam.

I always did like Cheydinhal, very special feel to that one. Good luck to you and your sis with this project as well

Edit: as far as the model feeling out of place, see if you can work on it's surroundings like shrubs and such so it doesn't feel like the house was plonked down there from out of the sky. That's why Bethesda's stuff feels natural.

I'm moving it to the same area as Pincrest Estate, over the border, so to speak.

Cheydinhal and Skingrad were my favourite Oblivion cities!

Yeah it's funny how the Nords' architecture is so primitive compared to the rest of Tamriel, no wonder the Elves hate them. The model so far feels so out of place, I might have to make an OTB settlement just to make things look okay. The interior is coming along nicely but I'm having a lot of trouble with collision geometry. everything collides except the stairs and the walls on the bottom floor. It's annoying and ChunkMerge does nothing.
