For those curious Kavel is probably who I will focus on next while I let Grim and Erik rest in their retreat. I have made some changes to Kavel but don't wish to spoil too much.

But I do want to say he is going to be a simple hunter. No epic story line like Grim as I want to write about a basic man who finds himself pushed to his all too human limits (albeit he may have the gift of being a werewolf ... but not a special one - just the vanilla version). I want to play him more as a normal human in Skyrim, not some exceptional super-powered hero. For the moment he will be asexual/confused on his sexuality. Still working out a lot of long-term plot details.

    Will see how it goes.

Aww, some well-deserved joy and rest for our heroes! Great to see them alone and happy together, in such a beautiful (and important) spot! I like how you connected it to Hircine, Kyne, and Fenrir, not to mention the closing-out of Grim's dealings with Delphine! Quite fitting music, too.

Now, to see what Averin and Neloth have planned, when I come back to this... And perhaps catch up on Kavel a bit too.

Thank you - this was a really good place to end them although I did obviously continue writing more.

Great chapter. I really like how the Gildergreen is a conduit fot "tapping" into nature. Well done. Also, the hint at a reason to go to Solsteim in the letter is a good link to what could be next.

Nice to see them have some peace. Leave it to Delphine to cause at least a moments annoyance!
    Beautiful work Wolf!

Thanks Simon - at least in this story the images pretty much tell what is happening.

Wow, congrats to this very romantic touching end of this great story around Grim and Eric. You made a wonderful painting of the start of a new chapter of their life. All facets are round...the idea with the letters is great and the best is the gift of Kyne....You descibed it in a way which is very sensual...really great feelings
Thank you, for sharing them...it was, as ever, a great pleasure for me, to read your story and look up to the illustrating well chosed pictures

The end is perfect, because there is a way show, to spin it further (if you want)

Many thanks BM and your comment is very accurate. I wanted to give them a good, safe home where they could enjoy some nice things after devoting so much of their lives (and souls) to the benefit of others.

Yet I also don't want to write them off as done - as I mainly need a little break. Even if I don't continue to write them I want to feel like they now have a life of their own without me behind the wheel driving them.

Meaning after a month of hunting, fishing, farming, relaxing, etc. they can return to active duty helping the poor folks in Riften by stealing from the rich and powerful via the Guild. Also helping to fight the Thalmor and defend against the stray vampire and dragon attacks. A good way to live out their lives. They can watch Lucia grow up to [potentially] become a Nightingale as well. When old age claims them they will join Hircine in the Hunting Grounds where he will then continue Grim's training to eventually take over his father's job as a Guardian of the North. As for Erik and Wolfgar? Well I expect they will be there to help out as Grim has learned it is better to be in a wolf pack (team) than be a lone wolf.

... and ... of course ... I may find in a week or two that I miss Grim horribly and then I shall be able to use my hook and began a new saga about his trip to Solestheim, scheming plans by Mora, and Grim's ultimate goal to free his dragon souls.

For he is, after all, Fenrir's Champion and a Guardian of Nirn.

Many thanks Steven! Will take me a bit to build Kavels world. I want his world and Grims all made and backed up - so I can switch between them. Grim is staying for certain but undecided about Kavel still.

This was very beautiful warm and heartwarming chapter, such a wonderful way to wrap up Grim's tale! Great shots too, such great portraits of lads (you did awesome work with poses) and amazing, gorgeous scenic captures!

the tree house is amazing, just what Grim and Erik need right now while Kynareth has given them a beautiful gift. Grim always loved hi father and it is really great how he can reach him! Also it was wonderful to see that Avrein did not forget anything, so his research with Neloth can become the key event of next chapters if you ever decide to write them. I've enjoyed the lads becoming one with nature, the moments when they were playful and that serenity that surrounds then here in this tree house. the letter from Delphine was amusing... Dannee as more responsible Dragonborn! Seems like Dannee and Grim worlds are very close still!

I am very intrigued about what you might invent for Kavel. It is interesting to know that he will be asexual for now.. a rare trait that is among heroes. And it would be intriguing to see the adventures of the man who has no supernatural powers aside werewolf blood...

I would look forward to see your next works, and thank you very much for your great work and effort you put into beautiful and amazing Grim tales!

Many thanks Nataly for this nice comment and I sent you a PM as well so will keep this comment a bit shorter. Glad you liked the poses ... took me forever. You gave me some links to guides, and I found a few more, but they were out of date and/or did not list a lot of the poses correctly. So for men and paired poses I basically had to go through all of them one at a time and make some notes. Took a very long time to find those that worked for them ... especially with Grim being so big. Just need more practice (and make better notes on the ones I like).

I hope I find the energy to write Grim in Solestheim. Most likely Avrien and Losti would be part-time followers so that Grim and Wolfgar (and perhaps Erik) can work on the quest to free his souls. I suspect that the information that Master Neloth needs to help Grim free the dragon souls is in a certain book ... and that book is in Mora's domain. So Grim is going to have to enter Mora's realm to get the book ... and well we all know how Mora feels about Grim. On the other hand if Grim has something Mora wants perhaps a deal can be made. Thats the plan. Of course I would, in my own game, be taking Grim through the Miraak questline. But for his stories Dannee already killed Mirrak so this will be my own twist on the quest for Grim's personal story.

On Kavel I am only thinking about asexual. He might be bisxual (more likely) just not sure yet. Thank you for the encouragement as always!

A beautiful way to wrap up Grim and Erik's tale (for now at least) and I understand your need to leave them somewhere happy and safe while you turn your mind to other adventures. I sense that the letter from Avrein will be key in Grim's next big adventure (which I suspect will get the better of you in about 3 - 6 weeks to begin writing ) and I liked the way you got Grim off the Dragonborn hook. Very timely with Dannee taking on that responsibility (not that Grim couldn't have defeated Alduin, but I'm sure there are just far too many other things in his world to work out first)!

I loved the physical moment with the boys in relaxing in their chairs (pretending to be Jarls) and then cuddling (and more) in bed. I love their physical connection as much as their emotional one which you did beautifully with Kyne's gift. I imagine it must be very comforting for them to feel that deep connection with every living thing in the land. Must be very peaceful.

I'm looking forward to reading about Kavel and I hope you take him on a slightly darker path (would love to see what you do with a darker character). Also intrigued by your comment that he'll be asexual. Might we see some fillies dancing around Mr Bloodmoon? I testing stuff and I'm looking forward to whatever you put out dear!

Thanks for taking time out from your cold suffering to check out the story, I know you haven't been feeling well. As for writing Grim's next tale ... I think a lot really depends on how well I do on Kavels world creation. If I can't create modded Skyrim on par with Grims I will just want to return to that world. Course I could create a fresh game there for Kavel but then run into issues with mods I don't need and different mods I would want for him.

Promised myself one extended week (front and end weekends) to see what I can come up with him. Then will re-evaluate and go for another week of testing, be satisfied, or re-load Grim's game. Right now I miss some of my town mods as I got so used to them. Time will tell how it goes. No rush certainly so taking my time.

If I had planned Grim from the start he would have never started the Alduin quest line. His story has always been to rescue Fenrir - which included learning who he was (first book), finding his mother (book 2) and then finding and freeing Fenrir (book 3). Book 4 is embracing his destiny as Fenrir's Champion and Heir - which is really nothing more than protecting the natural world and skyrim from harm. So wanted to wrap up that loose end with Alduin. Already took care of the vampires (Dannee took care of Harkon and Grim saved Skyrim from their second plot with Despair). Just leaves the Dragon souls now.

Kavel may dance with a lass or two ... still toying with that idea

Thanks for this very nice comment Ren! Glad you enjoyed the images - I used a rather unique ENB to try and capture a certain feeling I wanted for the story.
