Great work! They would do well to follow Ogbalf's lead. He understands that we are all animals, and in that we are all brothers and sisters whether we go on four legs or two.

      Thank you very much Aok!
Indeed this is the logic of Ogbalf, he lived all his life alongside the animals and has acquired the respect and understanding of all forms of natural life.

Ogbalf sure is the wise one. That's some deep conversation especially when he talked about human nature things.

I hope Sunniva will be alright

Keep it up these awesome works mr.Bastoss

Another thoughtful chapter Franck. Indeed humans are animals - something that many people, and organizations, fail to remember. The veneer of civilization is very thin and when you put people into a survival situation there true nature comes out - and that is the one far closer to the animal. Sometimes animals have been social codes then humans IMO. Still some humans are pretty decent so I still have hope for us

I am sorry, I know you like Sunniva and I suspect you plan on her being Frankhof soulmate, but I still do not like her at all. I understand she has trouble getting outside of her mental "box", that her life is limiting her scope of awareness and hence her past is preventing her from taking responsibility for her life now, but I still see her as someone who probably does know better but won't do what is needed.

Unlike many people in life she HAS OPTIONS. Regardless of her past, Erik was willing to take care of her. IF she took responsibility for herself she would have gotten over her past, kicked the skooma, and made a live with Erik. Unlike many other poor souls lost to drugs, crime, prostitution, etc., she has some family, a home, and a job. Yet she dwells on her past and her drugs instead of moving forward. Consequently I do not care or sympathize at all with her. Worse she corrupted Frankhof, a good man, and I think she continues to be a bad influence. Still maybe she will finally see her way out of the past that has trapped her and move forward.

Again - excellent story and images.

PS - I keep wishing I could speak your native language as I enjoy chatting with you but the language barrier often makes me wonder what it is you actually read lol.

      Many thanks Jonathan!

Indeed, we are animals, mammals, and like you that's what I always say that too many people forget, while humans have a more developed intelligence than other animals, but I wonder if we are truly the most intelligent, because we are still the only to destroy our environment...

When I read what you think of Sunniva I smiled
I enjoy reading your opinion on it and I do not mean if you're right or wrong, but at least I understand perfectly, I really hesitate long to decide what will be its place with Frankhof and I finally decided there a few days.
It is quite true that it does not really excuse, as you so aptly put she had a house, a family, work (if she really wanted) and especially Erik who never give up, he really always been there for her, but if she can not get rid of her addiction to skooma, he will think it may be to abandon and forget her as already done their father and Elfride.

It is certain that she was a bad influence for Frankhof even if she did not force him to and he accept conscientiously, but she would not let touch this product while he was in very weak time.
Anyway now, she will not have this influence on him, he will keep his promise.

It is true that language is a barrier for me too, but I often understand almost the full text in English (I said almost ^^), I actually understood a little better than I speak and google trad helps me a lot.

Both the two of us, it would be better for me to know to understand and speak your language, English is the most important language and it is one that allows everyone to understand, which is a shame is that when I was in college I was really good at English, I strongly regress by the lack of practice and I think it's mostly what I want to say in English that should not be always correct or understandable.
(By cons I understood all your comment except the term IMO ^^

IMO is an acronym that means "In my opinion" which is just to emphasize that when I say I think that some animals are better behaved then people is based on opinion and not fact :-)

I`m so very hopeful for Frankhof and Sunniva.
Drugs not only ruin the health, they ruin the awareness, and that`s the big problem.
Drug addicts does not have the same awareness like a "normal" person, and therefore they do things, a "clean" person would never do.
It´s a good idea of Ogbalf, to let them go to the limits of their physical powers. They will not have the time to think of Skooma, cause the fight against the exhaustion comes to the fore.

    Greatly written Franck!

      Thank you very much Heidi!

I agree that drug addicts do not have the same consciousness as that are not, so to Sunniva it is understandable that many wonder what she has in mind and what it is her objective.
Oh yes, they will be well at the limit of their physical strength, for sure!
We'll see later if there really has hope for Sunniva, for Frankhof it is certain.

Ah, the early days of withdrawal are oh so painful, but it's good they have each other, suffering in synch as it were, can solidify a better determination to a road of recovery. I can't wait what to see what they have to do to surpass this great obstacle.
Keep it up basstos! You're very good ~

Indeed, the first few days will be long and hard, but you're right that it will be together definitely gave them more strength, and then Sunniva surely would never accept to return alone, it would seem that Frankhof be a source of motivation for her but in what sense? Only time will tell!

This was awesome continuation of Frankhof and Sunniva struggle with their addiction. Great shots too, very atmospheric and with great expression!
I've suspected that it won't be easy for Frankhof and Sunniva to heal, such bad habits as skooma addition die hard, yet for Frankhof it might be easier, since he did not take this poison as much as Sunniva did and of course for him it has been weeks of that skooma induced haze while Sunniva suffers from it for several years at least, if I am not mistaken. Her resistance at Ogbalf way to help them is understandable, even if she wants to get cured, she was stuck with her addiction for too long ad she also has feisty spirit, while in such situation she better listen to Ogbalf. Hope his method will work on both of them... And it seems Sunniva is way too comfortable being so close to Frankhof, to sleep with him in one bed and so close to him. I get it that she likes him, though his emotions and feelings for her remain a mystery to me...
I am looking forward to see the continuation of their story!

      Thank you very much Nataly

You are absolutely right, Sunniva is in the skooma for several years while for Frankhof it is counted in days rather.
It is certain that it will be extremely difficult for Sunniva and even if it accepted the conditions of Ogbalf, she did this by obligations and even by fear, she is can be shown sassy with Ogbalf but in her heart she many fears about this old and powerful man.

For Frankhof he appreciates Sunniva and would love to see her healed of the skooma, he has no feelings of love for her because he did not want to put that in mind, after his last disappointment he no longer believes really love, and Sunniva seems also appreciate Frankhof.
But I will say no more on Sunniva I prefer that you make yourself an idea by yourself because feelings Sunniva (be it real or fake) will be unveiled over the others part of the story.

Yes, humans are just animals, animals with the maximum amount of brainpower maybe, which is sometimes good and often fatal.
Sunniva has to learn this lession like most of us humans.
Very nice continuation Basstos, I stay tuned

Indeed the humans are the maximum amount of brainpower, while, humans have created amazing things, but in the end they destroyed nature and are too far of it.

To be hoped for Sunniva that it will change, because at the moment she does not seem to accept all the conditions of Ogbalf, but this is only the first day ...
