2 a.m, Turdas, 31st of Second Seed, 4E 202
Thus here we are in the Bannered Mare, tallying our gold, gems and trinkets procured from Dragonsreach. Our friend in crime, Hulga the Barkeep, had earlier informed her patrons that the tavern was closed for the night, on the pretense that some of the woodwork needed some overdue repairs- Good old Hulga! Before the break of dawn the guild will travel in the shadows, along with our treasures back to the Flagon, and no one would be the wiser.
We are glad for Karliah's assistance in the matter, having now successfully completed her first official job back with us. Brynjolf, with whom I had planned the job, had remarked how we've come a long way, and that he had never been more right in placing me as the guild's master. More so than that, I attribute the success of our biggest heist yet down to the guild as a whole, and am content to have every one of my comrades in crime here with me today involved in the deed.
As I write this, Olfina, my lovely wife, beckons me to resume my merriment with the group. Soon, we would move onto purchasing Proudspire Manor in Solitude, and perhaps, a heist to top this one in the Blue Palace.
I do not know what manner of sorcery Herluin Lothaire, our merchant in the Flagon and mage, who is here with us today, has managed to perform, but the image which he has conjured and set onto a roll of paper I proudly include in this entry as a much cherished momento.
Let it be known that the Thieve's Guild will grow stronger yet with each passing day. Nocturnal be with us!
