After about a month's worth of work, Frostfall's new website is ready to go. This will be the new documentation hub for Frostfall, and for the Skyrim Survivor Series as a whole.
I opted for building this site for several reasons:
1) Frostfall is a big mod. I don't want to make a long front-page even longer.
2) I'd like to attract more new players to give Frostfall a try. Most players associate "realism" with "really complicated" and I'm trying to get away from that mindset; while Frostfall is big, it works on simple concepts, and I hope the new How To Play page gets that across better.
3) At the same time, I don't want to cheapen my documentation by not telling you everything. And, there is nothing more intimidating than a mile-long front page. This multi-page site breaks up this information in much more digestible pieces. Only certain pages, like the Quickstart Guide and the aformentioned How To Play, are really required reading. It keyholes the stuff you might not need behind pages you can read later, if you want. Case in point: my W.E.A.R. page, which goes over the details of just one feature in Frostfall, is almost the length of my entire mod's front page as it stands right now! If you're not a W.E.A.R. user, there's no reason for me to want to throw all of this in your face.
4) Richer formatting options. You can see that on the W.E.A.R. page, and on the craftable equipment page. It's not super-fancy CSS-driven mumbo-jumbo, it's using primitive HTML tables because that's the best I can do, but it's still quite a bit better than what I can do on a front page here without baking everything into an image.
So, that's the new site, and the new "home" of Frostfall. There's a couple of pages that still need touching up or finishing, but on the whole, it is representative of what Frostfall is now.
Everything's still on track for releasing 2.0 by sometime tomorrow, and I'm really excited to share it with everyone.
Thank you very, very much anyone who has helped test the current set of Release Candidates. Without your help, numerous bugs would have found their way into the general release. Pat yourselves on the back; you've helped make a better mod for everyone!
Have fun,
- Chesko

I've been reading your new website since yesterday, and I must say I'm enjoying it very much, the fact that it's divided into sections makes it very accesible, and I was even reading it through my phone while on the bus, which was easier since I didn't have to worry where I left of, I just read a couple of sections and continued doing so today.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for making it much more accesible, since people probably find it useful but Idk if most take the time to let you know that.
Thank you for sharing your talents with us!!!
