We today celebrate the first year existence of Hvergelmir's Armor Retexture, today one year ago plus a few days I took the first iron item (the Iron Shield to be specific) into my hands and used my graphic skills to give it a visual overhaul - the result; HAR. Much have happened the past year, both ups and downs (mostly downs at the time being; few bumps on the road, such as other disrespectful modders that spewed their hate on me and other things going on). Looking back lots of things have happened with Skyrim and HAR. I gotta admit I haven't completed as many sets as I intended during this past year, but as everybody (hopefully) knows, modders - especially myself - have a life besides modding. I had one longer break, and I'm currently recuperating after the intense velocity of which I retextured one steel item after another. I still intend to do the DLC steel items, so stay tuned for those.
I have plans, and I'm also currently cooking on a few other Skyrim projects. So stay tuned.

Yeah well, I'm not gonna hang out certain members here, but they've been extremely rude towards me going as far as calling me extremely offensive things on other forums. I'm not gonna go into detail here - but that kind of disrespect is a no-go in my book and I'm not the type to forgive and forget.
Regarding different textures, I don't know how much you've familiarized yourself with my mod and the description I've written for the mod page. But I DO intend to eventually add different textures for different qualities of armor. Such as a rusty variant of the Iron armor and a cleaner newer looking version as well. I intend to do this with most if not all armor to give the game more variation. More about that can be found in my mod description. I plan to include the first part of this with the Iron Armor update I'm gonna release sometime in the near-distant future, so be sure to stay tuned for that. Regarding custom armor, already got "something" in the works, and intend to improve my 3d modeling skills to make something truly unique.
This is why I don't ask for assistance in the forums on this site anymore, people don't really care anymore, you can't even request something - people don't respond.
But anyway, I like your retextures, they're nice. Some of them are a little darker and sometimes I like that. I wish I could have both. Maybe a worn stand alone version with your textures, because gritty is awesome, but when you craft a new piece of armor, I just don't believe it should be gritty unless it's older, or used in some way a bit, or found in a dungeon laying in the muck. Don't get me wrong, it's great for immersion and I will wear armor like that sometimes, when I make gritty barbaric nord warriors that live in the sticks.
I actually do that often. But when you first craft a piece of armor, I think it should be brighter. I'd like to be able to have both the light versions of CaBaLs work, and the dark and gritty versions of yours at the same time in the game, but apparently that's not yet possible. You both do great on your retextures. I'd also like to eventually see you do some mesh and textures and create a completely stand alone weapon/armor pack mod, but it all depends on what you have plans to do, and if it's something you want to do.
Anyway, I don't want to type a book to you, so I think I'll leave it at that. Good luck, and I'll be watching.
Thank you for your work on this
Thanks.
