Hello guys,
I want to share with your a tip & trick to increase performance of your ENB with Cinematic Aspect Ratios (the tweaked vignette effect)
When you use the vignette effect to simulate the cinematic aspect ratio, the black areas are rendered anyway with all the effects you have enabled (SSAO, bloom, postprocessing, etc.). This is a ridiculous consumption of resources and... Framerate!
I would recommend this mod: Skyrim - Unstretched Windowed Fullscreen Mode by _DTG_
This mod is quite simple but is quite fantastic!
Requires SKSE and it's based on a "tweaked" windowed mode by hiding the desktop with black background. Follow the instruction to how install this mod and so modify your Skyrim settings to enable the windowed mode.
Now, open the skyrimprefs.ini and tweak the Height and Width of iSize params as you want.
For example my monitor is 1440x900 and I've these params:
iSize W=1440
iSize H=750
I've have black horizontal bars to simulate the cinematic aspect ratio.
What are the benefits?
- Less area rendering
- Less SSAO computing
- Less Bloom computing
- Less Effect computing
- Increased FPS!!!
- You can also use the original vignette or the sharpening effect!!!!
I got not less 5-6 more fps!!
Try it :)
Regards!
