Some people would like to make my followers have the same body shape as their own default type, so I decide to share a method to do that, simple and useful.

  • Step 1 - Make sure if your default body type is of UNP or CBBE series

For example, if it's a custom improved edition of UN7BO, you have to download UUNP-UNPB version of my followers, because body files of UNPB version are from BIjin Skjin UNP which fits all UNP body series.
CBBE is similar to the above.

  • Step 2 - Go to the folder of my follower's body parts
Generally its relative path is 'meshes\actors\character\Aesthetics NPCs\body' :

  • Step 3 - Delete all files in this body folder ,except 'skeleton_female.nif'
Remember this folder, later we'll go back here.

  • Step 4 - Find your default body files
For me the folder in which my default body is 'BodySlide and Outfit Studio\meshes\actors\character\character assets', because I'm using Bodyslide.

  • Step 5 - Copy all files selected in the pic below and paste them into my follower's body folder (mentioned in Step 3)

After pasting:

  • Step 6 - In my follower's body folder, delete 'femalebody_0.nif' , 'femalefeet_0.nif' and 'femalehands_0.nif'.

  • Step 7 - In my follower's body folder, duplicate 'femalebody_1.nif' , 'femalefeet_1.nif' and 'femalehands_1.nif' and rename all the duplication.

Make duplication

Rename copies as 'femalebody_0.nif' , 'femalefeet_0.nif' and 'femalehands_0.nif'.

  • Step 8 - Run your game.

Right - follow up to my comment thanking OP - still thank you BUT I found out why follower NPCs had different bodies and now I feel stupid.

I have Bijin wairmaidens, NPCs and Wives installed. I assumed these mods just changed the faces and textures but I was mistaken, they also contain body mesh files for the affected NPCs, meaning OBody presets will not apply when you use them. I assume you could figure out a way to build these with morphs in Bodyslide, but I chose instead to drop the files into the mesh folders corresponding to the mods (same location mentioned in this guide) and boom - Uthgerd has such big jugs, she's about to break.

You're a good person. I cut out half the guide and used a follower whose body DOES respond to bodyslide presets - Daedric Pei from the Daedric B*tches mod. Now granted, her proportions are slightly exaggerated but thats fine, I just copied all the files listed above straight over into the folder for the NPC I wanted to affect - CK Mare, and now she changes with OBody presets on demand. Extending to Lydia, Jenassa and co immediately.

This is amazing!  It worked perfectly.  On SSE I used a Lydia replacer with a beautiful face but a horribly disproportionate CBBE body (ridiculous boobs).  I replaced Lydia's body with the CBBE Sofia body ... and voila!  Complete with physics. (I'm sure I just got lucky with the body weight, I rolled the dice on my Frankenstein attempt)  Thank you so very much.

For anyone coming back to this, launch "Explore Virtual Folder" in MO2.
You should have it by default.

I cant find these files anywhere, the mod is installed and working but, the places you say to find the files are not there. Is it in the file that skyrim.exe would be? then data > meshes > actor > character? if so there is nothing there. not even the npc names

Instead of Aesthetics NPCs use your NPC name

What if the npc you're trying to change doesn't have skeleton_female.nif?
