Skyrim

What is Chapter II?

Skyrim's soundtrack is my favorite score of all time. Not becouse I associate the music with nostalgia about the game or that I associate it with the game Skyrim at all, it's becouse musically, it conveys a sense of a ''world out there''. How Soule managed to give the listener a sense of ''cold'' and ''nature'' in his pieces, is something truly remarkable and I don't know many other composers that can accomplish this.
Being a composer myself, I wanted to try to make similair music to his beautiful work on the Elder Scrolls. I studied and analyzed all of Oblivion's and Skyrim's sountrack, and started to notice subtle patterns and trends in his songs. Using these composing techniques, I started to make and later publish my own Elder Scrolls-esque music on my YouTube channel.
I'm now at the point where I have 1 full hour of fan-made Elder Scrolls-esque ambient fantasy music made, and decided to put them all together in a high-quality music mod.
This is not a mashup of generic sounding fantasy or orchestral music grabbed off YouTube, but a playlist of songs that perfectly compliment the already existing Skyrim score. So it will still have that ''Elder Scrolls'' feel. Atmospheric, ambient, subtle and nature-like, and not filled with loud busy melodies or distracting fast-paced flute riffs.
For all you fellow music nerds out there, no, this mod doesn't include the generic chord progressions that have been overused in pretty much all music, like 1-6-3-7 (i VI III VII) or 1-5-6-4 (I–V–vi–IV). So it will feel new, authentic and not recycled.
