QUEST REWARDS
There are hidden rewards when you complete certain questlines to add something new to the altar, forge and smelter.
(They only appear if you complete the quest, and are somewhat related to what happened)
CIVIL WAR
Finish "Battle for Solitude/Whiterun" on the Civil War Questline and you get:
The "Brother's Blood" recipe, that allows you to obtain Azure Plasm from Blood Potions.
MAIN QUEST
Finish "Alduin's Bane" on the Main Questline and you get:
The "Titan of Coldharbour" recipe, that allows you to use mimic stones to clone "Dragon Scales" and "Dragon Bones".
(Provided you completed the "Bloodbound" ritual)
COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD
Finish "The Eye of Magnus" on the College of Winterhold Questline and you get:
The ability to craft a Scroll or Spelltome to summon a "Dremora Valkynaz" a mage Dremora.
(Provided you completed the "Cleansed by Coldfire" ritual)
THE COMPANIONS
Finish "Glory of The Dead" on the Companions Questline and you get:
The ability to craft The "Beastmaster" Scrolls allowing you to summon a Werewolf and Werebear.
THIEVES GUILD
Finish "Darkness Returns" on the Thieves Guild Questline and you get:
The ability to craft the "Taffer's Delight" scroll.
It's basically "Invisibility" and "Muffle" Combined with a boost of 50 to your "Sneak" for 180 seconds.
(Just for convinience, you probably have 100% sneak by that point)
DARK BROTHERHOOD
Finish "Hail Sithis!" on the Dark Brotherhood Questline and you get:
The ability to combine 5 rare ingredients at the altar of Molag Bal to create a Jarring Root.
DAWNGUARD DLC
Finish "Kindred Judgement" on the Volkihar Questline and you get:
The ability to create both "Bloodcursed Elven Arrows" and "Sunhallowed Elven Arrows" at a forge by yourself.
(If you completed the "Mortal Coil" ritual you can use your own blood to craft the arrows)
And after you complete "Cleansed by Colfire" you can craft 3 new scrolls (Boneman, Mistman and Wrathman)
and a new spellbook "Summon Whispering Spirit" the immortal blue orb you see floating around the Soul Cairn
(it does little damage but it can't be harmed so is the perfect distraction)
DRAGONBORN DLC
Finish "At The Summit of Apocrypha" on the Dragonborn Questline and you get:
The ability to craft the "Summon Lurker" Scroll.
(Provided you have the "Oblivion Walker" perk from "The Herald of Bal" ritual)
