THE HERALD OF BAL

The Herald of Molag Bal ritual is thoroughly explained in a "lore friendly" book, however I wrote this guide to ensure there are no problems or confusion
regarding the specific things you need to do.

- SPOILERS - KEEP READING ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF THE RITUALS - SPOILERS -

This also explains how some of the things work and what you can expect. Remember, If you don't see a recipe that means you don't have all the items to complete the ritual. You might want to complete "The House of Horrors" in Markarth. Molag Bal's quest as you'll need the mace for the final stage.

FIRST STAGE - BLOODBOUND

You'll need:
1 Silver Chalice (This is a unique misc item, I placed one next to the book at the entrance)
1 Azure Plasm (take one from your pool on the East Tower)
Once you drink the filled goblet you'll get the "Bloodbound" power referencing your particular race.
(It recognizes your race even if you are a vampire)
(If you use a custom race you still get a unique power that doesn't reference any of the vanilla races)
The power can be used once a day and lasts for 120 seconds.

All races get these effects:
"Bloodbound Strenght" - Weapon Speed 2 points.
"Bloodbound Speed" - Speed multiplier by 100%.

And the third race specific effect is called "Bloodbound Power"
for a High Elf is - 50 Magick Absorb Chance.
for a Argonian is - 250 Health.
for a Wood Elf is - 500 Stamina.
for a Breton is - 250 Magicka.
for a Dark Elf is - 500 Fire Resistance (basically immunity).
for a Imperial is - 50 Magick Resistance.
for a Khajiit is - 25 Unarmed Damage.
for a Nord is - 500 Frost Resistance (basically immunity).
for a Orc is - 50 Reflect Damage.
for a Redgurad is - 25 Melee Damage.
For an Unknown race is - 500 Shock Resistance (basically immunity).

This also unlocks the ability to create "mimic stones" at a smelter.

SECOND STAGE - MORTAL COIL
You'll need:
50 humanoid kills (NPC's, bandits, mages, etc) Yes, I know that by the end of the main quest you probably
have more than five thousand kills, But I don't know when are you going to do this. 50 is a simple number
to get to even if you just started playing.
1 Mimic Stone (create one at a smelter after you have the "Bloodbound" power, it requires 2 Coalesced Azure Plasm)
1 Human Heart (To avoid giving you the perk automatically)

Consume the "Consecrated Heart" for one of two possible outcomes:
Perk Mortal Coil for all vanilla and unknown races.
Your enhanced survival instict gives you a permanent 20% increased Stamina and Health Regeneration.
Perk Immortal Coil for Vampires.
(Yes, If you play a custom race that is a vampire it should work)
Become a full fledged Son/Daughter of Coldharbour and get a permanent 20% increased Magicka and Health Regeneration.
You can now craft "Bloodcursed Elven Arrows" by using your own blood instead of 3 vampire ashes.
Both Mortal and Immortal Coil also unlock new recipes at the altar.

THIRD STAGE - CLEANSED BY COLDFIRE
You'll need:
Any 5 Daedric Quests Completed (I suggest you finish Molag Bal's Quest as you'll need his mace for the final ritual)
1 Daedra Heart (you can get two at Mehrunes Dagon quest and alchemists sell them)
1 Coalesced Azure Plasm
1 Torch (The regular torch you use to see in caves, you need it to burn the heart)

Consume the "Burned Heart" to complete the ritual, you'll get the "Oblivion Walker" perk.
This gives you a permanent 20% to Conjuration and allows you to create more powerful scrolls at the Altar.

FINAL STAGE - HERALD OF BAL
You'll need:
Have the Mace of Molag Bal in your inventory (You'll get it in Markarth on the Quest "The House of Horrors")
1 Blank Linen Scroll (you can craft one after you complete "Cleansed by Coldfire")
1 Blood Potion (Used as Ink to inscribe the Scroll)
(NOTE:If you want to see the inscribed Scroll, just drop it from your inventory)

For the final stage I wanted to give something that showed what it meant to be the "Herald of Molag Bal"
You get the power "Aspect of Molag Bal" that can be used once a day, this is simply put a way to summon molag bal
to fight for you in spirit form.
A few things to note:

- It can only be used once a day like any other power.
- It can last longer than 120 seconds (with the right perks, etc)
- Molag bal is immortal and impervious to damage.

Is it OP? Perhaps, but it is a manifestation of a Daedric Lord, it's supposed to be.
Once completed You can craft all the stages if you want to use them as decorations.
(They don't stack if you do them again though)

All that is listed above is part of the mod, just be sure to download
the "Shard of Coldharbour 2.7 - Herald of Bal" version.
