Skyrim

V3 of Druid's Den is a MASSIVE overhaul of the original, not only visually but also mechanically and as such it's important that you get off on the right foot when upgrading.

If you already have Druid's Den installed, the easiest method of course is to start a fresh game with the new version. Obviously though this can be a problem if you have an advanced character you enjoy. So follow these steps to clean your game of the old Druid's Den before adding the new version.

  • Empty the old Den entirely of every item you own
  • Travel to a place a good distance from the den such as an Inn inside a city
  • Save your game and exit
  • Open SAVE GAME SCRIPT CLEANER
  • Click the MOD EDITOR button
  • Select Druid's Den on the list on the left
  • Click DELETE MOD CREATED FORMS and DELETE MOD CREATED SCRIPTS
  • Exit back to the main menu
  • Enter "SAERI" in the script search box on the top left
  • Select the SCRIPT tree header in the window below it and delete it
  • Select the SCRIPTINSTANCES tree in the window below it and delete it as well
  • Save the changes to your save game
You are now ready to install Druid's Den V3
What this process does is removes all persistent forms and scripts from your saved game that Druid's Den added. Without this process your game would continue to think it had the old version and would continue to save the old scripts in your save game which can be problematic, so we clean them off the save game with the handy save game script cleaner utility. This lets your game get a fresh start and reloads all the scripts under the new install without risk of old data carrying over from the old version.
