Hello bandit slaying chums! As a part of my new game design class, I am quote, forced, unquote, to play Skyrim as a homework assignment. Now as a good student, I’m gonna do it….. Maybe more enthusiastically than my computer science homework, BUT enough about that.

I don’t like texture mods or sexy lady mods, what I want are content mods. Stuff like new weapons in lvl lists, new items, enemies, spells, spawn points, just stuff that enhances the actual GAME, I can care less about how pretty my grass looks. If I wanted look at that, I’ll go outside look at my lawn… Look disgusted and look at my neighbor’s lawn.

Now I want to list a bunch of mods that I think would enhance not only my own BANDIT SLAYER’S paradise but I think it would also enhance yours as well. Of course if you do end up downloading these excellent mods, then please endorse as they deserve each and every bit of your attention. Some mods that I am using are not quite as popular as some of the other mods I’ll be using, so I’ll be listing all the less known ones over the more popular ones as those will be obvious

Face Masks of Skyrim
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33391/?

You shouldn’t fight bandits that easily expose their identities! These craftable face masks are both beautiful and effective at hiding the lower part of your face! You can also add these face masks to the level lists to allow bandits to wear these as well! They come in a variety of colors so you don’t have to color coordinate for them. This is also eventually going into my mod (permission granted) but download away and see which mask fits with you early!

Crafting 300
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2933/?

This adds in many different styles of the vanilla weapons into level and crafting lists. So…. many…. weapons…. drools…. I mean yes, they are retextured vanilla weapons but they bring out a lot of styles to each weapon material that it makes every fight against a NPC enemy unique! And these are all quality weapons too, they are nice to look at.

ARMORIZER
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27028/?

This adds in a good 30+ armor sets into the game’s lvl list and crafting list, pretty much a second Immersive Armors if you ask me.

Skyrim Expanded Loot Tables
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11018/?

I LIKE LOOTING. This will allow places, such as barrels and satchels, to have more and better loot than just cabbages and butterfly wings. I like to try my luck with loot tables and fighting off hundreds of bandits (Playing bandit hell edition) really drains my potion budget, so getting as much loot as I can from everywhere is great

Upgraded Weapons and Armors for Enemies
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33502/?

One of my all time favorite mods, this one gives loot and enemies smithy upgraded weapons and armor. This will make bandits and the like incredibly more dangerous… but it makes the loot that they drop much more rewarding and the battles much more varied since you never know how strong of armor or weapons they actually have. Right up my alley

Dovahkriid - The Dragon Lords
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11206/?

BEHOLD MY QUICKSAVING POWERS ACTIVATE! I really like tough enemies… but I really dislike things outta sync with the vanilla gameplay, so this mod is pretty good at both or at least good enough for me. This mod will add in 10 incredibly tough dragon bosses that spawn after a certain point in the main quest. So far it’s well done, no quest, the dragon’s names are cool, and I get get beat down faster than you can think about it… Perfect, maybe I’ll get some bandits helping me out too

Unicorn
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13606/?

Nothing gets your masculinity flowing like lopping a bandit’s head off riding a unicorn, I mean think about it, the last thing he/she sees a person riding a unicorn chopping his/her head off it’s hilarious.

Atlas Map Markers with Dragonborn Dawnguard and Blackreach Addons
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14976/?

I want to see ALL of Skyrim, I want to actually COMPLETELY see what is there to see in Skyrim, I want to see everything from corner to corner… Kill hundreds of bandits along the way but thats not important. WHAT is important is that I see EVERYTHING this wonderful game has to offer. This mod will help me find things I probably would have overlooked in my travels across Skyrim and now… I have no reason to miss anything.

Sky-UI Away
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29440/?

I started my ES career on the Playstation 3 with TES4, so I have ties with my old PS3 controller and this series. And before you boo me off stage I did pick up Morrowind and playing through it. I… just can’t play Skyrim with my keyboard. I have always been geared towards controllers since I started my gaming career on consoles and bad habits die hard. So Sky-UI Away was perfect for me, allows me to play Skyrim with my controller and have MCM.

So there we have it, I hope you consider these mods that I personally love and am updating as we speak. I love the hell outta Skyrim and I cannot wait to get back into it.

I'm a big fan of the PS3. I did initially play with a controller, but with all the hotkeys needed, I had to switch to keyboard and I easily adapted to it. It becomes increasingly important when playing with FPS games.

Thanks for the list, I never heard some of those mods. Going to check 'em out!

I'm right there with you. I started on consoles, and I'll probably die with a controller in my hand, lol. That being said, I scoured the internet and actually did find a way to get the Xbox 360 chatpad to work with PC. The only downside is needing a wired controller, but it's small beans. Just Google "super chatpad driver" and follow the instructions to the letter! All things considered, it's not terribly hard to sort out. But now I not only get to still play with a controller, but I don't have to set it down to use hotkeys ! Tip: if you go this route, after you've got your chatpad running, swap over to mouse and keyboard to set up your hotkeys, then set it back to the controller.

If you're looking for mods that make a sizeable, article-worthy change to Skyrim, try Requiem. I can't play without it - it's somewhat based on harder "old-school" RPGs, but not too bogged down in them to lose the progress. It makes the game world far more immersive and believable, not to mention making combat tighter and more exhilarating.

Also, Apocalypse Spell Package, especially with its new update. How magic should be.

I do use Skyre, but like I said I didn't make this post to tell you to get things I'm sure you guys have, the reason I made this is because I want you guys to be aware of other mods that aren't known too well and that they are quality mods like mine. I spent a few days hunting mods that are both interesting and will be great for my (bandity related) play style. I'm sure there are plenty of bandit fetish... I mean 'enthusiasts' that can agree on several of these mods to 'enhance' their get offs on bandits

Usually I just play Skyre but I really don't want to patch my other mods with skyproccer, takes up too much time to perfectly patch all my mods. So this time I want to use locational damage cuz that seems like fun. Plus I got obis and super bandit hell edition! I won't have time to breathe

The one mod I won't play without is ASIS, very configurable, you are responsible for your own grief, it has kept the challenge of Skyrim alive through multiple play throughs for me.

You've mentioned some mods I'm not familiar with, the for the heads up, going to take a look.
