Skyrim is a game with a great atmosphere. Bethesda has expertly crafted the land and the lore in a way that is open to interpretation by the masses and like many others, my imagination has been sparked.
Winterheart is my interpretation of Skyrim. A desolate, cold and harsh land. As I walk amongst the trees the woodlands take on a mysterious, sinister tone. As I trek across the tundra, vast open plains lay before me under dark somber skies. And, as the sun sets over the volcanic wastes the land is bathed in a fiery glow, the terrifying blackness of night descending shortly after. Daylight is fleeting in the harsh mid-winter and I must make the most of it. Will I survive the long night and see the sun rise the next morn?

Winterheart is a combined ENB profile and atmosphere mod that changes the feel of Skyrim entirely from the Vanilla setup. You really can't explain it properly in writing and although pictures and videos help to convey the mood, to really understand what it is about you have to step into the world itself and try it.

The mod that accompanies the ENB profile, at current, peforms the following:
-Removes all clear weather types. Sounds more extreme than it is.
-Tweaks imagespaces and weathers to fit better with the ENB profile.
-Alters the types of weathers found across the world for more variety.
-Increases the amount of rain during rainy weathers, especially storms.
-Changes the day/night cycle to more suitable winter times (based on Oslo).

I very much hope that you will decide to step foot into this harsh, cold interpretation of Skyrim.
Updates are going to come reasonably regularly, taking onboard the requests of the mod users, including the return of clear weathers, though with of course a harsh twist that suits the overall theme. Thanks for reading. Image credits: solsikke737, WoodManGamer.
