Miss Leeches is back to Skyrim and when she isn't saving Tamriel from mudcrabs she's working on the new version of Vampiric Thirst!
Here are some of the features you'll see soon!
● Support for MCM configuration provided by SkyUI with a few new customisation options to help you better tailor the mod to your liking!
● Entirely reworked blood quality system - the old buggy method was old and buggy, now player develops preferences not for races and genders but for individuals and may gain temporary bonuses based on that person's traits if it's high enough!
Other than being more player friendly it also means 100% fewer script delays, weird feeding bugs and memory bloats thanks to the way the new method is implemented! This is also completely optional and can be customised!
● New and shiny dialogue feeding system. You can use deception to seduce your victim, intimidate them to sit quietly while you do the deed or reveal your vampirism and hope they agree to become your willing vessel! If you're charismatic enough you may gain a stable source of sustenance but fail and there will be consequences!
● Lots of entirely new exciting bugs for you to find and report! Each lovingly hand crafted to make it as annoying for you as possible!
And there is also another thing I'm planning for a later update: fully animated sustained feeding! Buuuuut right now I'm having some problems with the animations: the actors keep colliding with each other and don't want to align right so I won't put it in until I figure out how to solve this problem with scripts or find some animator who can adjust collision boxes of the animations for me.
Ohh but there is also some less sweet and more bitter news: there will be no more big updates of VT after this. Once I get this release out and polish everything and squash all the bugs I don't think I'm going to release any huge features and extra content. There will be no quests and other things that just take too much time and effort to make. Once a perfect version is released I want to focus on compatibility patches, maybe new options for MCM and maaaaaaaybe some small new thingies like powers or existing features expansions if I feel like it but no more big plans and no more impossible promises!
Which also means that I'm not taking any more feature requests! I'm sorry.
This has been a fun mod to develop and update but I think it's time to finally give it a proper last update and move on to other projects knowing that it's complete.
But until then wait for version 2.5 which will be out (I hope!) by August 24!
UPDATE!
Correction: a little later ^^ Because I decided to also fix NPC vampire powers, rewrite some scripts and generally do lots of streamlining and performance and stability fixes finishing and testing will take a little longer. But I think this day of delay will be worth it n_n
