Hey guys,

I finally finished version 2.2 and I'm really proud of it because I've put so much work into it and it turned out so well. I will list here the main changes, you can find a complete changelog in the mod description.

A complete new, overhauled detection system: It works amazingly well, yet it is technically so simple. What the new system is capable of:


  • Determining angle ranges for all bodyzones depending on the positions and character heights and widths.
  • Reconstructing the positions and angles of all archers, including the player, as well as the heading angle to their target on shot.

This might sound not so impressive to most of you but it is for me because all the effort I put into it was worth it because it works so damn well.

Greatly improved AI: I've also redone the AI for this mod. It now calculates how strong and how exhausted your opponent is and then categorizes him into one of the four categories: Novize, Apprentice, Expert and Master. Depending on which category your opponent is in he knows which bodyzone is the best currently to hit, or not. The AI is now also affected by your difficulty setting, enemies on 'Master' setting are obviously better at aiming than the ones on lower difficulty.

Improved MCM: I also expanded the MCM with a new "Guides & Help" section, offering you information about the main mechanics as well as the effect each bodyzone can trigger and a FAQ and troubleshooting section, and a "Settings" section giving you mainly more control about headshots and a few other settings.

Balanced percentaged damage and magic: I wanted to encourage players to think about where they're aiming by implementing percentaged damage. But it was definitely to overpowered especially on high levels such as 50+. I tried to find a balance between making it not overpowered and making it worth taking into account while aiming. I think it turned out well and should fit its purpose now way better.
I also fixed magic by implementing a seperate cooldown for it preventing too many registrations, which was dealing way too much damage because the percentaged damage stacked up too much due to the many hit registrations the continuous spells caused.

    Sounds so epic! If you want I can do a german translation. I'm sure other guys will do a translation in their language too.
