Great joke, Reimar! I wasn't following the ESO release date, so I actually got the news right here in this upload

Really? the TV spot has been all over the place, every tv chanal I watch, the game shows I watch.

Ill keep saying it, damned Zenimax for ruining so much of the lore BUT, I have to hand it to them, the game system and combat system are not "that" horrible at all, still think it could use player to player/enemy collisions and even friendly fire, and a huge spell list of over 100 spells (like the good old days, blowing life in every single spell the game series has ever had) and some more skills for none mages, but overall for a mmo this is quite good (and lets face it,t here trailers were pretty damned awesome)

still, fingers crossed that at some point they will update to give us a necromancer class/spells, the game would quickly loose there charm if I cant reanimate allies or enemy's (or collect body parts to create undead)
Every mmo needs a player that is a expert in solo"ing everything (a necro with a army of undead should do the trick to "solo" everything) then giving me the tome of unlife to get a ultimate technique that turns me temporarily into a Lich XD

He, cool shot! I still stick to Skyrim though and considering my favorite part of all games was lore, I was not happy what Elder Scrolls Online has did with it, too many contradictions and things that came out of nowhere. Nope, Skyrim and Oblivion are my favorite games!

Yeah I know, its the main reason why I grosed out from watching it in the first place, they can't even get past the intro video wiouth making there first lore mistake

stating that "the player's soul got take out and there body got send to Coldharbour"
big flaw as a body cannot live without a soul (necromancy spells are proof of this as soul traped targets cannot be reanimated, and dead targets (supposedly) when reanimated get there soul stuffed back into there body under the control of the necromancer)

quote from the book "souls, black and white"
Every creature, living or dead, is powered by a soul. Without it, they are just lumps of flesh or piles of bones.

this obviously also immediately dispells the theory of "reviving" players by using soulgems, especially if you know that soul gems don't "hold" souls, but only the power of a soul, the actaull "soul" of a person gets send to the soul cairn the moment they die under the influence of a soul trap spell

people, just call me a Arch necromancer already.

I've got over 1000hs into Skyrim, and yet to complete it, I have too much fun finding obscure mods and trick edits to break it (not complaining). The work put out by this community, for free, is nothing less than amazing!!! Let's see an on line game measure up to that!!!!

Sorry...(climbing down off my soap box now...)

elder scrolls online mods (interface, interface... oh and interface... and textures, yeah thats pretty much it)
elder scrolls gameplay (moral choice impact on the world around you, 0% )
and lets not forget the amazing variety of combat! (being a dps for the rest of the game, unable to take blows or heal myself)

yeahhhhh. Hi skyrim, lets spend the next years playing you until Tod gives us elder scrolls 6, and as a extra pastime, after the time of elder scrolls online, I'm going back to the future! (Arena, daggerfall, morrowind, battlespire, and so on)

well that and touhou, dodge a huge minefield of danmaku? challenge accepted *puts on sunglasses*

Great soap box to be on. Bushhog. I dread to think how long I've put into this game (most of which my poor elf has stood about in static poses for screen shots).

I have caved in and bought the ES Online but never played a MMO before (so is as much due to curiosity). Really was against it based on cost and the thought of being kicked about by 10 year olds does not inspire me. However, in the end I couldn't resist having a go.
I've called my character Idiot Elf and made her look as close as I can to Skyrim Elf.

If it ever becomes free to play I will join in too, I just don't think (anything in this world) is worth a monthly fee. (if my job would get me a fee on top of my pay check I can understand I would not mind of course) but paying for it is a whole deal altogether XD

If it happens, Ill join in as High elf (by far my most favorite race) So I can smear my superiority all over the faces of the other players.

before that time however i will act like a Imperial (too greedy to buy it for the fee) and yeah for whoever did not know this yet, Imperials are greedy bastards (thus there ability to make more money then other races)

I'm with Jeff, free to play I'm all in, I could perhaps pay a one time fee, but don't you do that when you buy the thing...? Anyway, I digress. The thought of perhaps running across the Idiot Elf in ESO, maybe exchanging a digital wink, can avatars wink?!? Is very tempting, she get's me killed I roll back a save! Hmmm....

If you come across a pink Lorax named Bushhog, would the Elf dance for me

well Bushhog, you already need to pay for the disc/game itself, so I would say that would count enough for "one time pay" already, I mean I only had to pay 1 time for Guild wars 2, and the shop items you can buy online are not "pay to win" but mainly cosmetic and "helpfull" (thus I donated a large sum already course I appreciate Arenanet not being acting like greedy parasites leeching the coin from my wallet while I play the game)

Zenimax can keep on going how long they want, I aint playing it until it becomes free to play (I am well willing and able to pay a little extra for the actual game to get the full edition (with imperial race and such) But I am not willing to pay for a monthly fee, nor "pay to win" online shop content.

Ether give us a fair deal, or drop the entire game altogether. (if you think this bad, wait until you see me at a car dealer)

If I do start playing most likely you will find me joining the Morag assassins (or dark brotherhood, still have not heard any detailed info on that) or worshiping Daedra (nothing more intelligent then worshiping daedra while one of them is invading Tamriel, just like the good old Oblivion days XD pray to all Daedric princes (gets ass kicked by Mehrunes Dagon at the end game)
Most likely I will also try to find a way to become a necromancer, seriously Zenimax, if there is ANY update you need to do in the first 3 weeks of the game already, it's adding a necromnacer class, let me reanimate dead players to fight for me, let me "loot" body parts so I can build up my own undead to summon at a crafting table, let me spread diseases and plagues among the enemy's (let me do a lightning barrage like in "the siege" trailer)

Most likely I will be a Altmer Nightblade (leech skill tree) with a staff build along with the world "soul" skill line (vampire, werewolf or soul magic) Nightblade will give me leeching magic, soul will give me soul magic, and staff will do something like lighting or conjuring (I hope) getting "close" to a necromancer

and in the second slot most likely (if they ever unlock it for everybody) a Imperial Templar with a restoration staff (pure light mage) Dawnguard vampires, better run!

playing elder scrolls online? yeah right, Skyrim's for free, the lore still fits (zenimax did a crappy job on copy pasting what exists) and is tons more fun even after all the years, if anything else im playing its witcher 2, funny story really, I bought it at 09/11/2011, a few days later Skyrim came out (and we all know how that song and story goes) found the witcher 2 just a few weeks ago under a pile of dust XD finished it already 1 time, pretty good game, if not that Gerald has the reaction time of a turtle, *push dodge 50 times, only dodges 5 seconds later IF he feels like it*
