Changelogs
Version 0.4.2
Removed an obsolete parameter that caused downloading updates from the Moddding Tools domain, including AnvilToolkit, to fail with wrong URL
Removed 'site' from compatibleDownloads, as it would cause all mods from the Modding Tools domain the user has installed to show up as uninstalled mods in the mod list
Version 0.4.1
Added function to automatically copy d3d11.dll from system folder to game folder if the user installed ResoRep
Version 0.4.0
Drastically improved user experience when using ResoRep Textures. The extension will write a dllsettings.ini file to the game's root folder if it doesn't already exist. This file is used by ResoRep to locate the game and the modded textures folder. A notification presents users with the option to download ResoRep dll files with an installer script from Nexus Mods if they don't already have them.
Version 0.3.6
Updated launcher requirements function
Streamlined DLC Folders write checks
Version 0.3.5
Fixed installer for .forge folders
Added installer for .data folders
Added installer for ACUFixes mod
Added installer for root folders ("videos", "sounddata")
Version 0.3.4
Changed the .forge folder name installer to use an "Extracted" folder in the mod staging folder, rather than in the game files
Added a check for an undefined variable in the notification to run ATK
Version 0.3.3
Corrected a folder write check
Version 0.3.2
Fixed an issue with the created folder path in one of the installers
Version 0.3.1
Disabled symlinks since they don't play nice with ATK when repacking .forge files
Added additional detail to the ATK deployment notification
Version 0.3.0
Added notification after deployment to run ATK
Added additional mod installers to attempt to repackaged poorly packaged .forge mods into the correct "Extracted" folder structure to be repacked by ATK
Version 0.2.0
Added mod installer for AnvilToolkit so that the extension will not automatically download that mod again after the user does an update check in Vortex
Version 0.1.1
Updated the AnvilToolkit auto download to use the general Modding Tools page, rather than the game site page
Adds Assassin's Creed Unity support to Vortex Mod Manager. Note that AnvillToolkit is required for some mods and will be automatically installed by this extension.
This will work for both the Ubisoft Connect and Steam versions of the game.
This extension will automatically install AnvilToolkit. It can be run from the Dashboard tab in Vortex.
You will also be given the option to download ResoRep for legacy texture mods.
Usage Notes:
You must have Steam and/or Ubisoft Connect apps open when launching the game from Vortex for the game to start.
For mods that require AnvilToolkit (ATK), you still need to run the tool from the Dashboard tab in Vortex and unpack/repack the .forge files. Automatic packing of .forge files isn't feasible since it is not possible to predict which .forge files will be used. Also, ATK does not have command line support.
This extension offers the following benefits over manual mod installation:
Installs many mods automatically (ones that do not require repacking .forge files, such as complete .forge file replacements, ResoRep texture mods, video mods, etc.)
Integrated ResoRep support for legacy texture mods.
Automatic download of ATK to the game folder.
Run ATK and the game from a convenient interface in Vortex.
Download mods directly to the game folder from your browser (no manual unzipping and moving files around).
Check for and download mod updates from Nexus Mods.
Places mods that need ATK in the game folder next to the .forge files, so that you can simply run Anvil without having to manually move files around. At most, you might need to change a couple folder names in the mod staging folder to put the mod files in the correct structure if the mod author packaged the mod poorly.
