SInce like DLSS many games do not update XESS with later versions, I decided try using chatgpt to make a tool to update xess.
Update: works with XESS 1.3.

Download and extract the XESS Updater.exe file from the files section and then run it.

This is the first thing I've uploaded to nexus. I'm no programmer, just a humble computer nerd. I used gpt to help write this.
This tool will do the following:
- Download and extract the latest version of XESS from intel's github.
- Prompt you to specify a directory to scan. This can be a specific game's folder or a game library, like steam (the tool will update ALL instances of xess found in the folder you specify).
- It will compare the version of the existing XESS instances, and skip over any that are already on the same version.
- It will prompt you for confirmation before replacing each one.
- It will create a backup of the original XESS, look for libxess.dll.original.
- It will list all changes made.
- It will wait for you to hit enter to close once done so you can review the changes.
- It will clean up after itself by deleting the temp folder and the downloaded zip (it will always download the latest at the start).
