Launch your game and disable vertical sync (V-Sync) in the settings menu. Then toggle frame generation.
This will result in screen tearing. To restore vertical sync and keep frame generation working properly, open Nvidia Control Panel, navigate to "Manage 3D settings", and then enable "Vertical sync" for your specific game.
Old framerate limiters don't work correctly. Check if they explicitly support frame generation first.
If you experience crashes while changing graphics settings in menus and are using an external overlay (RTSS, MSI Afterburner, Special-K, ReShade, etc...) try closing the overlay process first. Outdated versions don't support asynchronous frame generation.
If the game officially supported DLSS FG, Nukems FG Mod wouldn't create those flickering/shaking effects, it's a known thing of the side effect of Puredark's DLSS Builds on RTX 20 & 30 series GPUs, there is no way to fix it unless Puredark fixes it or Nukem's ASI file will be updated but Puredark's FSR3 Builds works perfectly fine without any HUD/Subtitle Ghosting/flickerings..As for the Optiscaler though, HUD Fix completely breaks the frame interpolation that disables the FG, the only game was the Plague Tale Requiem that was working fine and stable with Opti FG + its HUD Fix, other than that every other games don't work as intended with that Optiscaler so that's why I always prefer using Nukems FG if the game officially supports DLSS FG or Lossless Scaling (LSFG 3.0+Adaptive) if the game only supports DLSS Plugin..
Hey guys, correct me if i´m wrong, but this mod aims to allow you to use the DLSS upscaling mode along the frame generation provided by the FSR, right? It should work with the RTX 20 series as well? Because i put the files in the right locations, but the only frame generation option available is the one from the upscaling method i´m actually using, no DLSS + FSR FrameGen possibility. I´ve already tried with all the files that comes with the mod, tried deactivating Nvidia signature checks, tried UASIL mod along with ASI plugins, but nothing works. Any idea what could going wrong? The only detail i didn´t tried yet was updating the drivers to the latest version, i´m at 572.83 right now. The driver version isn´t actually extremely old, could it really be it? By the way, the game i´m having problem setting the mod is Oblivion Remastered, forgot to mention before, lol
As i mentioned, i tried several methods, and all of them i saw in the comments here, but nothing worked for me. That´s why i´m asking if i´m not misunderstanding what the mod is supposed to achieve, expecting something that won´t happen, or if the issue could be my GPU series, or the drivers, that aren´t that old... I usually scroll the commments before asking, exactly because waiting for someone to reply any ideas for a solution is slower than seeing if someone already hinted something that could work for me. But sadly that wasn´t the case.
If you are like me and can't launch Oblivion Remastered after setting this up, here's the fix:
Everyone, and I mean literally everyone said to use the version.dll one. This comment section, Reddit, Google searches, all the people everywhere on the internet.
Try the other ones within the UNIVERSAL version. Instead of version.dll I hail maryed all the other ones until one worked. For me it was winhttp.dll
Great tool winhttp.dll for life 10/10
TLDR; My game wouldn't launch. Used winhttp.dll instead of version.dll. Many frames
Update: after installing an NVIDIA driver winhttp.dll no longer worked for me so I tried version.dll and it worked. Still using it till this day. Not sure what happened there
Hi, sorry, little new to modding and can't figure this out. EDIT: GPU RTX 3090
Do I need to download dlssg-to-fsr3-0.130 AND dlssg-to-fsr3-0.130 (Universal) ??
I just downloaded the second one (Universal) and put both of the files: winhttp.dll and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll into my \steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64 Folder.
I turned off vsync in game but frame gen is still grayed out. I checked and my hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is on.
Please let me know if anyone has a tip of something i may have missed. <33
EDIT: I also have used vortex for all my other mods besides this one. This one I did a manual install so I could add just those files to my games binaries/win64 folder. Not sure if that would affect anything.
Same issue on a 3060Ti with Xbox Game Pass PC version of the game. I tried the version.dll and winhttp.dll but it looks like they are not working and the option is still greyed out.
**EDIT** I was able to make this work by using the "plugin_asi_loader" version of the mod and following this guide about using ASI Loader. I put the dlssg_to_fsr3.asi file in the same folder as my UASIL, which in this case happens to be dsound.dll. I launched the game and could enable Frame Generation and went from 46 FPS to at least 70 in the one area I was testing outdoors. Hope this helps someone else.

Sorry if this is answered somewhere else but comments are practically flooded with oblivion remastered comments and mine is unrelated, but does anyone know if this really isn't supported on 40xx and up rtx cards? Because that's what it says on its github page.
You're right to bring that up — according to the GitHub page, RTX 40 series (and up) GPUs are not officially supported due to how the mod hooks into DLSS Frame Generation, which is already natively available on those cards. That said, some users have reported success by using the mod to force AMD's FSR 3 Frame Gen instead, especially when trying to enable Reflex or experiment with different behavior.
Still, it's not the primary use case, and results may vary. For native Frame Gen support, you’re generally better off sticking with the in-game implementation if available
Steam version of Returnal doesn't seem to work, I've used every option from Universal, put the files in Returnal\Returnal\Binaries\Win64 it used to work before.
the setting for frame gen doesn't show up, I'm on a 3070.
I have tested that game on my RTX 3060 12GB in the last year with the version of 0.90/dll-Universal version of the mod. It was working perfectly stable and smooth.
this is a thing called "ghosting" its from dlss/fsr, they both have it. Updating their dll's with dlss Swapper fixes it mostly ( its still there a little but its a lot better) the version of dlss/fsr the game is using is 4 or 5 versions behind the current ones (which i find sooo dumb that they would do that) dlss swapper : https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper

Normal version.
Goes it KingdomComeDeliverance2\Bin\Win64Shared
Puredark in KingdomComeDeliverance2\Bin\Win64MasterMasterSteamPGO

So question remains, why is it not working for OP ?
idk why
for reference, I used version.dll and I have an RTX 3060
if the issue persists after a reinstall, use other dlls
