Launch your game and disable vertical sync (V-Sync) in the settings menu. Then toggle frame generation.
This will result in screen tearing. To restore vertical sync and keep frame generation working properly, open Nvidia Control Panel, navigate to "Manage 3D settings", and then enable "Vertical sync" for your specific game.
Old framerate limiters don't work correctly. Check if they explicitly support frame generation first.
If you experience crashes while changing graphics settings in menus and are using an external overlay (RTSS, MSI Afterburner, Special-K, ReShade, etc...) try closing the overlay process first. Outdated versions don't support asynchronous frame generation.
Frame Pacing Issue When your base FPS is low (e.g., 45–60 FPS), DLSSG has fewer real frames to interpolate from, which can cause frame pacing issues (micro-stuttering).
Solutions:
Increase the base FPS: Lower your graphics settings to help your GPU deliver more real frames.
Enable NVIDIA Reflex: This reduces latency and helps provide a more stable frame delivery.
NO. DO NOT DO THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. You want as much visual data created as possible!
Hardware frame generation is a performant-oriented feature. It actually *creates* new data closer to extrapolation, vs interpolation with software like Lossless scaling. You do NOT NEED to cap your fps at all, with DLSSFG, FSR3FG, and obviously this mod.
This is the worst possible advice you can give regarding this tech.
*and since this mod enables DLSS3, and a requisite for DLSS3 is Reflex (DLSS3=DLSS2+framegen+reflex per nvidia)... Reflex is enforced upon enabling. If it isnt, and you are having higher relative input lag, then the mod is not working and its just using FSR3 alone.
I cant believe you said interpolation. You are a disinformer, and are not here to help people. You are here to spam senseless bs on this help forum to push all the relevant information (like each games filename and version that works) off the top.
I have refrained from responding to you for quite some time, as it's not in my nature to engage with individuals who are so egocentric and arrogant. I’m certain you’ll respond to this as well, but let me be clear: this will be my first and last comment to you. I won’t play the game you seem so eager to start.
I am here to help others to the best of my ability, based on knowledge that is widely available across the internet. If my advice does not align with your expectations, I apologise.
And what exactly are you contributing here? Besides posting repetitive praises about how great this mod is, you also indulge in conspiracy theories about NVIDIA supposedly “censoring” it?
I thought this space was meant to be welcoming for anyone to ask questions. Sometimes I delay responding to allow others — perhaps even you — to share their insights. But every time I step in to assist, you jump in to belittle me without even offering a helpful solution to the problem being discussed.
So that’s it. This is my final message to you. I will continue to ignore your provocations and focus on helping those who genuinely need assistance.
Egocentric? Nope. You are spreading the same misinformation garnered from reddit. Nothing more, nothing less.
Last comment from you? Thats one too many. You have already infested this board with superfluous and needless, incorrect information. (again, no fps caps on hardware frame gen. But you know this Nvidia employee)
Arrogant? Sure whatever, since I seem to be one of the only ones here that provides any real help... like the post YOU intentionally pushed off the front pages, back when we could not search. This post had many games, versions, and filename hooks that worked for people in need of HELP. Reddit, does NOT HELP hence why you cant even use the word "nukem9" on any major sub, nor youtube video because they are all Nvidia sponsored (just like you).
"If my advice does not align with your expectations," ...your advice is FUNDAMENTALLY incorrect! you are intenionally spreading it to saturate this board with bad info\overstatements so others cannot find posts like the one I just alluded to.
"And what exactly are you contributing here? Besides posting repetitive praises about how great this mod is, you also indulge in conspiracy theories about NVIDIA supposedly “censoring” it?"
-Go back about 25 pages now and see a post list ~15 games, their versions, and the proper working filename hooks along with the version of this mod that works. You already know this though, you are just making that comment because of your actual intent here.
Nvidia IS CENSORING this. You can VERY easily go on pcmr, pcgaming or one of the major youtube channels like Gamers Nexus... spend the couple seconds it takes to make a post, and see that your post will not show. Nobody knows about this mod, explicitly for this reason.
Let me be clear: Do not EVER say a word to me. Do not EVER tell anyone you are giving anything beyond "reddit-level" help. You have not helped a SINGLE person, and I implore you to point out ONE.
Meanwhile, those of us that have been here since the release date of this DLSS3-enabling mod for all RTX cards (Dec 22 2023) will be here to try and provide ACTUAL help, regardless of your intentionally-diluting spam.
That was a good try buddy. See ya!
PS: If anyone wants to go back however many pages and see what hooks, version, and filenames work... check my post history, search, whatever. Do not listen to the cut\paste responses by this person. He\She is not here to help you, and most likely is a plant by nvidia... Just like they have on reddit, GN, HUB, everywhere. Dont believe me? Start telling people about this "mod."
winhttp version works, universal and dbghelp don't enable the DLSS FG in Stellar Blade for me but yeah it runs perfectly smooth and no ghosting or whatsoever..
First of all, thanks for this it's increase fps a lot ! I use it for Oblivion Remastered, I play on a Lg OledC2 which have G-sync, did you know if we can enable frame generation and G-sync ? Because I have a lot of screen tearing with it, thanks in advance for your answer.
Hello Everyone I need help I’m facing some problems while using nukems9 mod in Marvels spiderman 2 pc so the thing is when i use ingame fg my fps increase from 40 to 60 or 70 depends on the ares but when i use nukems9 mod my fps doesn’t increase it stays at 40 i did everything but not able to find the solution for that
btw i have hags on vsync on in nvidia panel my laptop is rtx 3050 4gbvram i’m on lowest setting in the game but can’t able to use the mod and stuck with the ingameFG which is sucks.
If you're not seeing an FPS increase with the mod, follow these steps carefully: 1. Confirm if the mod is loading: Go to the folder where SpiderMan2.exe is located. Look for this file: → dlssg_to_fsr3.log ✅ If it exists: Open it and copy/paste its content here — this helps verify whether the mod is initializing properly. ❌ If it does NOT exist: The mod likely isn’t loading. Try the following:
Rename the main mod DLL to one of these: winhttp.dll, dbghelp.dll, or version.dll
Make sure it and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll are in the same folder as the game's .exe.
2. Use NVIDIA's Frame Generation, NOT FSR: In the in-game graphics settings, make sure you're selecting DLSS Frame Generation and not FSR — using FSR disables the mod's function. 3. Ensure HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) is Enabled: This is required for Frame Generation to work and is set via Windows: 🧭 Steps:
Press Windows Key + I → go to System > Display > Graphics > Advanced graphics settings
Enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling → Restart your PC after enabling.
Once all of that is set up:
Re-test the mod
If it still doesn’t work, post your log file and confirm which DLL name you're using. That way, the community can better assist you.
Ok so 1. The Mod is loading and i can see dlss_to_fsr3.log and here it’s content
[19:39:56] [warning] [19:39:56] [warning] dlssg-to-fsr3 v0.130 loaded. AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation will replace Nvidia DLSS-G Frame Generation. 2. I’m using the Dlss frame generation option ingame. / not the Fsr frame generation as i know its ingame FG
3. Hags is on / Vsync also on in nvidia panel
and I’m using nukems9 Universal 0.130 from there i drag to files in to my game folder where exe is located dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll version.dll
You're doing everything correctly so far — the log confirms that the mod is loading, HAGS is enabled, and you're using the correct DLSS Frame Generation setting in-game. 👍
That said, one common issue with the Universal v0.130 version is that not all games accept version.dll as a valid injection point. So even though the mod loads, Frame Generation might not activate properly in some cases.
To fix this: Try renaming version.dll to one of the other supported names, one at a time, like this:
Tested Marvels Spider-Man 2 on desktop RTX 3060 12GB here, works great and getting average silky smooth 120-150 FPS on 1080p Highest Settings, DLSS4 Quality Transformer Model with RTX OFF, Reflex is full compatible and NVIDIA DLSS FG ON.
I'm using version.dll and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll in Spider-Man 2, you can also try dbghelp.dll and winhttp.dll alternatives if it doesn't work. In case you are not getting adequate amount of FPS, your VRAM could be the main problem to benefit the Frame Gen properly then because Spider-Man 2 utilizes VRAM up to 8-9GB even on 1080p Very High Textures, and you have just 4GB. Frame Gen also needs some extra VRAM (500MB to 1GB) to execute it properly so lowering the graphics settings might help other than that I don't have any other option to fix your problem.
Ok So i Got the solution first of let me tell you that i try renaming version.dll to all other options but none of them work for me and I’m on latest version of spiderman 2 1.526.0.0 So what i did i check with all previous version Of game and luckily version 1.318.1 Worked for me the dlssfg is working in this version so the fault was in the game version not in the mod
JonathanNorthTGW might be right — FG does use more VRAM, and since you were using the latest version of Spider-Man 2, which includes DLSS 4 with the new Transformer model, it could have been the issue.
While NVIDIA claims the Transformer model is faster and uses less VRAM, in some games and setups it can actually consume more, especially with ray tracing enabled. That extra VRAM usage, combined with Frame Generation, could explain the lack of performance gain or instability.
By rolling back to an earlier version of the game, which doesn't include DLSS 4, the mod worked as expected — likely because the VRAM load was lighter. So in your case, it really looks like the issue was the updated game version, not the mod itself.
Yes it was common knowledge awhile ago in these very forums that things change regarding game version sometimes, until someone came and started spamming intentionally long answers to dilute the information people receive.
I LOVE this mod. It literally lets me enable DLSS3 frame generation, no strings attached, on my 3070. It works in everything from official games like Ratchet and Clank to modded implementations like Puredark... games like Kingdom Come 1, Elden Ring, Dragons Dogma all had DLSS3 "enablers" and this mod lets me use those for at least 2x fps in almost every scenario.
Official games? It just works right out of the box. Cyberpunk PT 1440p MAXED on a 3070/5800X3d/32gb same with Alan Wake 2.
If you are not using this mod and have an RTX, you are holding yourself away from nearly 2x performance for FREE.
Nvidia and all the **** they sponsor like youtube channels, subreddits, etc do NOT want you to know about this mod. Go ahead and try mentioning Nukem9 on pcmr or pcgaming on reddit and watch what happens!
This is no joke. This is basically eliminating the need to upgrade if you have a 3060 or greater.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that the DLSSG-to-FSR3 mod implementation works with the Nvidia Profile Inspector's "DLSS Multi Frame Gen" enable on 30 series cards. Could you look into this more? Some games show increased FPS but with horrible frame pacing.
Can anyone please help? It worked perfectly for Oblivion remastered for one day. I woke up the second day and it just didn't work anymore. I didn't change anything or update. HAGS is still on, I turned off and back on again to be safe. All other settings are still the same. I tried the different dlls and got the same result. I'm getting the log file as if the mod works, but my frame rate is nowhere near what it was for that first day. Also - I'm getting a weird difference between regular frame smoothness and the UI smoothness. With FG on - the game runs ok around 55-60 outside but the cursor on the ui during conversations or the inventory is sluggish and choppy. If I turn FG off, the ui cursor gets way better (back to how it used to be before the mod at least) but my frames can drop to 40ish outside.

1. Confirm if the mod is loading:
Go to the folder where SpiderMan2.exe is located.
Look for this file:
→ dlssg_to_fsr3.log
✅ If it exists:
Open it and copy/paste its content here — this helps verify whether the mod is initializing properly.
❌ If it does NOT exist:
The mod likely isn’t loading. Try the following:
- Rename the main mod DLL to one of these:
- Make sure it and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll are in the same folder as the game's .exe.
2. Use NVIDIA's Frame Generation, NOT FSR:winhttp.dll, dbghelp.dll, or version.dll
In the in-game graphics settings, make sure you're selecting DLSS Frame Generation and not FSR — using FSR disables the mod's function.
3. Ensure HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) is Enabled:

- Press Windows Key + I → go to System > Display > Graphics > Advanced graphics settings
- Enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling
Once all of that is set up:→ Restart your PC after enabling.

That said, one common issue with the Universal v0.130 version is that not all games accept version.dll as a valid injection point. So even though the mod loads, Frame Generation might not activate properly in some cases.

- Rename the file

- Check if FG is active or if performance improves
