This extension adds a "Speed Test" button to the toolbar in the downloads section which allows you to run an automated test of your download connection to the Nexus Mods CDN servers around the world.
The following tests are performed automatically:
Check for commonly misconfigured Vortex settings.
Retrieve test links from both of the main CDN nodes.
Test download speed using a sample file from the website.
Test each CDN server to judge which one will give you the best connection.
Perform a TraceRoute operation to identify any stalling points between your PC and the server.
After collecting your download results, it will also make some recommendations on how your speed can be improved. For Premium users this may include things like increasing the number of download threads or switching your default server.
The extension also allows for a convenient way to report download problems and pre-fills a lot of the important information required by the troubleshooting article.
