Lets keep this brief - this game extension only supports MPQ mods (no loose files).
Only one MPQ mod can be active at any time (That's just how the game works) - you can select which one by right clicking the mod you want to activate in the mods page and select "D2R Make Active". Vortex has an experimental mods merging functionality - you can extract MPQ mods during their installation which will make them mergeable; simply install a mod with an MPQ file and Vortex will query you.
Merging mods can get complex depending on the mods you have installed - you may have to edit the files yourself to fix a conflict.
Please make sure that the MPQ mod you're trying to set as active is enabled and deployed (this goes for the merged vortex mod too)
The game extension comes with the following tools included to assist you in your modding:
D2 Excel
Ladiks Casc Viewer
MPQ Editor
The tools will get installed when you first manage your game.
Installation:
Wait for the game tile to appear in the Games page and click on it once it does (might take a couple of minutes for the extensions list to update)
