Mod management support for Star Traders: Frontiers in Vortex.

This extension adds Star Traders: Frontiers as a game supported in Vortex for mod management. The extension can currently install any mod that features a manifest.json file. Mods without that file will not install correctly. Starting the game via Vortex will, by default, start the modding friendly version of the game. A handy shortcut to the mod-free version of the game will also be added to the dashboard. 


Vortex Install (Easy)

  • In Vortex, locate Star Traders: Frontiers in the Games tab.
  • Click on the game tile to manage it, install the extension as prompted.
  • Click the prompt to restart Vortex.


Vortex Install (Advanced)

  • Navigate to the Extensions tab.
  • Drop the 7z archive into the "drop zone" at the bottom of the page.
  • Click the prompt to restart Vortex.


Manual Install

Extract the 7z archive to %appdata%\Vortex\plugins\Star Traders: Frontiers
