About this mod
A full text-based RPG system you can plug into ChatGPT like a Nintendo game cartridge, no prep needed. Build characters, roll dice, and explore any setting—fantasy, sci-fi, historical, or something weird and new. It’s like handing an AI a gamebook and saying: “Here, run this for me.”
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
This is a full template for a role-playing game, not just a prompt.
WorldWeaver: The Dream Engine turns ChatGPT into a full-featured RPG engine—stats, rolls, choices,
and character creation. But the real strength is in the storytelling.
Before long, you're emotionally invested in a made-up waifu and plotting
revenge against a guy who doesn't exist.
Think of this as a game cartridge that you insert into your ChatGPT console. You turn the
power on and it brings up the title screen. Press start to begin...
Literally. You just upload my template document and say "start," and
the AI takes over and guides you through the entire process of creating exactly the RPG experience you want. If you've never used ChatGPT like this before... believe me, you're missing out. It's incredible.
NOTE: An active paid subscription to ChatGPT.com, though not technically
necessary, is highly recommended. The 'free' version of ChatGPT has an
inferior AI model that will make more mistakes and take way longer to
generate responses.
🎮 What Is This?
A modular RPG framework that turns ChatGPT into a fully functional Game Master.
designed for use with ChatGPT. It provides a complete, guided
roleplaying experience—character creation, stats, dice mechanics,
survival systems, and narrative-driven progression—across any universe or genre. The system enforces structure but leaves room for
player freedom, improvisation, and immersive storytelling. Think of it
as giving ChatGPT a rulebook, a script, and some dice—and letting it run
your next tabletop adventure.
🧙♂️ Character Creation
Step-by-step creation of a fully fleshed-out RPG character.
backstory, faction, companions, quirks, and more. Each section is
handled one at a time and checked off visually. You can select from
options, write freeform, or hit "randomize" at any point. The end result
is a detailed, unique character with both mechanical structure and
narrative depth.
📊 Stat System
A flexible 1–10 scale system built around personality and playstyle.
10. You can roll them randomly, generate them through a background
questionnaire, or describe your character and let ChatGPT assign fitting
values. At least one strength and one weakness are guaranteed, keeping
things balanced and interesting. Karma and Luck systems add extra
flavor.
🎲 Dice Rolls & Game Mechanics
A custom roll system with cinematic consequences and situational modifiers.
wins, or triumphant successes. Natural 1s and 20s trigger wild results.
Environmental factors, character conditions, and context all influence
the outcome. It’s not just math—it’s storytelling with tension and
impact.
🥖 Survival Mechanics (Optional)
Add tension with hunger, thirst, and fatigue systems.
have to eat, drink, and rest—or suffer stat penalties and eventually
collapse. These conditions are handled narratively, with immersive cues
instead of spreadsheet micromanagement. It’s there if you want that
extra layer of realism.
🕳️ Paradox Detection Mode (Optional)
A high-stakes honesty mode that watches for cheaters—and judges them.
retconning decisions. If you cheat, in-universe entities may intervene,
punish you, or just... notice. In return, you get bonus Karma, extra
Luck, and occasional cosmic recognition. It’s not mandatory—but it adds
bite.
🎭 Narrative Customization
Choose the storytelling style that suits your mood.
lighthearted, spooky, emotional, etc.). The AI adapts
accordingly—whether you want something fast and gamey or a full novel
unfolding around you. You can even see tone/style samples before
choosing.
🌌 Universe Support
Play in any world—real, fictional, or entirely made up.
The Witcher, etc. There’s also support for historical fiction (with
optional timeline changes), or fully AI-generated settings based on a
single word. Every universe adjusts the character prompts and rules to
stay lore-appropriate.
💾 Saving & Session Management
Progress can be saved if you treat it like an NES cartridge.
session 'alive' in the chat sidebar, your character will be lost.) So
when you finish a session, copy/paste the whole conversation into a .txt
or .md file to preserve your progress. There’s even a retro-style
warning included in-game: “Hold RESET while turning the power off.” As long as your chat is still open in the sidebar, your progress is intact—but don’t count on it forever.
💾 Examples of character summaries
Here are five characters I made as samples of what you can easily achieve.
1. Kharzug the Hunter - World of Warcraft
🪓 Character Name: Kharzug
Species: Orc (Warsong Clan)
Sex: Male
Age: Adult (Prime years)
Role/Class: Hunter
Origin: Desolace, Kalimdor
Faith: Reveres the ancestral spirits of the Warsong
🧾 Narrative Background
Kharzug was born into the dust and silence of Desolace — a land that offers no
mercy and expects no weakness. Raised among the Warsong, he was not
trained so much as tempered. Life was survival. Battle was breath. The
bow was not a tool — it was a sentence, passed from hunter to prey
without words.
From a young age, Kharzug proved lethal. But also... lucky. Too lucky. He’s dodged death so many times that even his
enemies speak of him in half-whispers. Poisoned arrows missed his heart.
Ravines collapsed after he leapt. A cursed blade shattered at the edge
of his throat.
He doesn’t speak of fate. But he knows he’s being kept alive — for something. Each kill draws him closer to that purpose.
Now, he raids with a small elite Warsong warband: a bellowing tauren named
Throgar, a cunning troll shaman named Zajja, a razor-fast Forsaken rogue
called Krixa, and his blood-cousin Barzug — a fury warrior who laughs
in blood.
His only constant companion is Mokk, a massive war wolf who watches Kharzug like he understands what’s coming.

2. Jared the "Gutter Rat" - The Witcher

Sex: Male
Age: 19
Role/Class: Cowardly Runaway / Reluctant Hero
Posting: None

Faith: Secret hope in something greater, but no formal religion
🧾 Narrative Background
Jared was never meant to be a hero. Thin, anxious, and painfully aware of his
own cowardice, he grew up in the shadows of Novigrad—watching,
listening, and learning to stay unnoticed. His only strength was his
mind, which he honed in back alleys, bookshops, and overheard
conversations. But when his younger sister Mira was kidnapped and held
for ransom by a sorcerer. Jared was forced to do the unthinkable: he
stole Swallow, the legendary sword of Ciri, from a temple in Ellander.
He was to deliver Swallow to the sorcerer at midnight, or his little
sister would be killed; and was instructed never to speak of it to
anyone: "I will know."
He never expected to make it. And he almost didn’t.
Tracked down by Ciri herself, faced with her fury and the wrath of the sorcerer
who manipulated him, Jared survived only through a series of desperate,
clever gambits—and a flickering flame of courage he never knew he had.
He couldn't abandon his sister, but couldn't tell Ciri about her
kidnapping out of fear of some magical surveillance placed on him by the
sorcerer ("I will know.") Though battered and broken, Jared’s journey
has only begun. Mira is still out there. And for the first time in his

to battle the sorcerer—but as Jared tried to shield his sister, he was

promise of vengeance, and the knowledge that Mira was still out there.

Jared, a book-smart but physically frail young man, risked everything to save
his sister Mira from a powerful sorcerer. After stealing a sacred sword

through his lies but spared his life. Forced to assist her in setting a

Rix’s soul.
Now serving as a junior Starfleet engineer under Chief Miles O'Brien, Kelen is determined, quietly competent, and deeply

5. Vaelin Thorne - Custom Universe (created by ChatGPT)
🌌 World Summary
🌀 Universe: Veilscar – The Shattered Dreamlands
Custom-built RPG setting generated by ChatGPT
The world was not built — it was remembered. Or dreamed. Or both. No one truly knows.
After the event called the Shattering, reality was patched together from the
remnants of people's hopes, fears, and forgotten memories. Geography
became malleable. Time bent. Even cause and effect sometimes stuttered.
Survivors now live on fractured islands of stability called Tethers, floating in
the unstable, dream-soaked void. Between them lie Dreamscars — zones of
warped reality where logic fails and thought becomes form. Anchor
Crystals are the only safeguard against unraveling.
Truth is slippery. Names change. You might vanish from someone’s memory mid-conversation — or worse, from your own.
Religions, cults, and stability-seekers war for control over this shifting
tapestry. And somewhere deep in the dreamscape, something ancient is
waking.
Its name is whispered in walls and woven into the seams of sleep: Nhal-Zoruun.
Some say it dreamed the world. Others say it's trying to rewrite it.
🧍 Character Summary
🦊 Character Name: Vaelin Thorne
Species: Drimari (Half-anchored)
Sex: Female
Age: 27
Class: Echoblade (Agility-based hybrid combatant)
Origin: The Cradle of Ash — a volcano-choked tether-isle riddled with Dreamscar exposure
Faith: Path of the Coil — the belief that time is a spiraling loop, and memory is truth
🧾 Narrative Background
Born from the smoke and ruin of a tether-isle collapsing into the unreal,
Vaelin Thorne is not entirely real. Nor is she imaginary. A Drimari —
half-substance, half-thought — she exists just enough to leave scars on
others, and not quite enough to stop doubting her own breath.
Her village vanished overnight into mist and screams. She was the only one
left, surrounded by echoes. Since then, she’s been hunting answers — and
trying not to unravel.
Vaelin is part of The Sabled Thread, a secretive guild of lorehunters and salvagers who brave the Dreamscars in
search of what was lost. Her political leash, however, is held by the
Anointed Assembly, a holy order trying to collapse chaotic tethers and
control the dreamstorm. She serves them only until she doesn’t.
Vaelin's only companion is Kesh, a moth the size of her palm who sometimes speaks in riddles... and sometimes does not exist.
In dreams — and in walls, and voices, and reflections — she hears the name:
Nhal-Zoruun.
Something is waking. Something forgotten. And it’s calling her by name.

— Winona Ryder, moments before the coffee mug hit the floor
🎞️ Transcript: Crucial Scenes with Winona Ryder (1991 Edition)
📚 Scene 1: First Encounter
Setting: Used Bookstore. Rainy outside. Winona is flipping through The Bell Jar. You are pretending to be deeper than you are.
🎲 Roll: 12 – Partial Success
Dave sees her across the room and suddenly becomes 83% more existential.
DAVE (to himself)
Say something cool. Something devastating. Something Bukowski would mutter while lighting a cigarette.
He walks over, grabs a tattered copy of The Communist Manifesto like it means something.
WINONA (without looking up)
That one’s missing the last chapter.
DAVE
That’s what makes it raw.
She looks up. A pause.
Her lips twitch. Not a smile — but not not a smile.
STATUS: You're not being escorted out. This is progress.
📷 Scene 2: The Analog Dick Pic Incident
🎲 Roll: 1 – Critical Failure
Setting: Dave’s bedroom. Late night. Candlelight. There's a typewriter and a mirror. And a very bad idea.
Dave, armed with ambition and a disposable Kodak camera, decides to capture... himself.
DAVE
This will prove I’m fearless. Vulnerable. Bold. Like early Bowie... but pantsless.
He props the camera on a stack of Rolling Stone magazines.
Stares into the mirror. Strikes what he thinks is a “smoldering” pose.
Clicks.
Two days later, he goes to Walgreens to develop the film.
Forgets what’s on it.
The clerk does not.
WALGREENS CLERK
(flatly, while bagging)
One of your photos was... removed by management.
He receives a censored envelope. The remainder of the roll includes:
A thumb
A lava lamp
A Pikachu sock
Blurry shame
DAVE (reading clerk’s handwriting):
“Due to store policy, obscene material has been discarded.”
STATUS: The photo never reaches Winona. But your soul is still cringing.
🕯️ Scene 2.5: The Rewind – Luck Point Spent
(You don’t undo a text. You undo a decision.)
🎲 Original Roll: 1
🎲 Re-Roll (Luck Point): 17 – Smooth Recovery
Dave, standing in Walgreens under flickering fluorescent light, feels a disturbance in the vinyl.
Somewhere in his trench coat, his Lucky Clove Cigarette (never lit) crumbles to ash — used up by the Fates.
He grabs the envelope before the clerk hands it over.
DAVE
Actually... I changed my mind. Developing photos is a corporate construct.
He leaves. Rips the film in half behind the store.
Feels lighter. Unburdened. Almost like a functioning human being.
That night, he writes a letter on aged stationery.
“Winona,
I wanted to send you something bold. But instead, I’ll send you something honest.
Me. Words. Not... anatomy.
Yours in poetry and restraint,
Dave.”
He places it in a manila envelope with a pressed flower and just the right amount of weird.
🎤 Scene 3: Poetry Slam Redemption
🎲 Roll: 20 – Critical Success
Setting: Basement coffeehouse. Dim lighting. You sign up under the name “D. (Just D.)”
You approach the mic with trembling hands and possibly a slight mullet.
You clear your throat.
DAVE
She’s a VHS in a world of Betamax.
A mixtape with the A-side worn out.
And I... am the Walkman that still plays her.
Silence. Then: tears, snaps, a girl in the back faints onto her Doc Martens.
Winona is standing.
She walks up slowly.
WINONA
You’re not strange.
You’re... dangerous.
💍 Scene 4: The Wedding
🎲 Roll: 19 – Stunning Success
Setting: An abandoned drive-in theatre at sunset. You’re in a velvet vest. She’s in combat boots and a veil.
The screen plays Heathers.
Your vows are written in fountain pen on the back of a café menu.
WINONA
Even after... Walgreens?
DAVE
Especially after Walgreens.
You kiss beneath a sky full of unpaid student loans and possibility.
A boom box plays “Fade Into You” by Mazzy Star.
STATUS: Married. Legendary. Probably doomed, but romantically so.
🪐 THE END – 1991 STYLE
You live on in zines, cassette tapes, and the hearts of alt-girls everywhere.
