About this mod
A Reshade preset that gives the PC game Silverfall a facelift and new effects. Included is a compilation of small mods that fix a few bugs, increase font size and make inventory items clearer to see.

This mod aimed at trying to reduce the horrible jagged outlines of models and scenes and apply both anti-aliasing, higher resolution and depth to the textures. The project went much further to include atmospheric shading and lighting, better spell effects, HDR light and shadow casting, sharper textures, and all around improved graphical atmosphere and a less bright and cartoony look whilst keeping true to the cell shaded art style. Gives the game less of a World of Warcraft feel and more of a Diablo 3 feel *sort of* :-)
::::THE MOD COMES IN FOUR FLAVORS::::
Ultra Quality - All the glitter. Your card and machine should be close to next gen to run without FPS drops especially in Silverfall Itself where there is a lot of architecture.
High Quality - Most the effects. includes lighting, HDR, SMAA anti aliasing, contrast, vibrancy and saturation, bloom, sharper details and atmospheric shading. Best to be used on a modern gaming systems with good quality graphics cards and processors. Expect FPS drops and lag otherwise especially in Silverfall itself as the game has trouble rendering that area.
Medium Quality - focus on Textures, CMAA anti-aliasing, with some lighting effects including light HDR and atmosphere. Good for mid tier gaming PCs or Desktops and laptops under 5 to 10 years old. Expect minor FPS loss in Silverfall but might differ on different rigs.
Low Quality - Focus on clearer textures and FXAA anti-aliasing, minor lighting effects, fake HDR and atmosphere filters. Best for office desktops or PCs and laptops under 10 years old with lower gaming specifications. Might expect FPS slowdown, especially in Silverfall. Still not for use with built in GFX card.

::::PREPARATION::::
- Before starting I would recommend you go to https://ntcore.com/4gb-patch/ and download the 4gb Patch, which allows old games to use more cores on more modern PCs. This is optional however I have found that it helps this game hold a steady frame rate and run smoother. Installation is as simple as directing the program to your Silverfall.exe. a backup copy Silverfall.exe.Backup will also be made.
- Further tweaking can be made on the Silverfall.exe via Graphics Control Panel depending on your GPU. Turning on Anti - Aliasing helps further decrease Jagged edges and Astroscopic texture filtering which helps keep Images clear.
::::INSTALL GUIDE::::
1. Unpack the .Rar and place the contents anywhere preferably on your desktop.
- copy the Silverfall Reshade Quality Preferences folder and paste it into your Silverfall install location.
2. Go to https://reshade.me/#download and downlad the newest Reshade with full add-on support or use the outdated version in my pack
- Choose DirectX 9, (you may be able to configure Direct 10 via DgVoodoo https://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/ get the latest stable version but not necessary).
- In the next window click Browse and choose the Reshade -xxxxx.ini file from the Quality Preferences folder you've pasted into your install.
-After effects install a optional window appears asking if you'd like to install add-ons. This is optional. skip it. click Next and Exit.
3. Launch your game. Reshade should Launch on game logo and will begin loading its effect based on your quality preference of choice.
UINSTALL
Just Run Reshade installer again on the Silverfall.exe choose direct x and choose uninstall.

::::BONUS COMILATION MODS::::
These mods were not created by me. I've just compiled them together for an easy install. I was unable to find all the mod authors but will link the site where I was able to find them. Install is simple. Just copy the "Data" folder inside the "Silverfall Mod Compilation" folder and paste the folder into you Silverfall install directory. Overwrite the files.

1. Patch for Female Characters (EA)This is a small correction for a missing text in the dialogue with Sylvo, the nature-sided blacksmith. Please note that this file is different in Silverfall and in Earth Awakening, so you must download and replace the correct version of the file!
2. Patch mod for Earth AwakeningThis mod, in fact, is a patch for this game, because it repairs one of the Earth Awakening's biggest bugs!!!It contains the following modifications and bug fixes:- From now on in "The Defences of Nature" quest the Mega Qje'Shi will appear properly amongst the smaller ones, so you can finish this quest at last.- In the Reward for the beast-men quest you will receive 25 technology points instead of some gold.- In the Out of control experiments quest you will receive 25 nature points instead of some gold.
3. Design mod for unusable itemsThe items that are not usable for current character (e.g. not enough level/loyalty) are crossed in the game with a pretty thick icon. You can't even see what's underneath it. Riotar had decided to make better this visual appearance, and made a little mod. The edited a1_inventory_icons.tga file should be copied in the Silverfall\Data\Overlay\Textures\Inventory folder. The unusable items in game now have red frame instead of the cross.

O. Silverfall & Silverfall: Earth Awakening camera mod
Credit: Galandrix (https://www.moddb.com/mods/silverfall-earth-awekenening-camera-mod/downloads)Listed below is a camera mod that allows the camera to be zoomed out from 1700 to 3400. it is included separately because it changes the values of the same "design.pak" included here "Patch for Female Characters (EA)". the option is up to you whether you prefer to have the camera zoom out much further then intended. This causes a larger amount of processing power to be used and may cause FPS drops and lag dependent on your system. If not replaced it retains the quest in above listed mod to be completed. You can NOT use the two together. Honestly I can live without the camera mod...though sometimes it numbs my skull. I have included the Mod in a separate folder for your use.

My appreciation for you all is deep. Thank you to Monte Cristo for releasing this little unknown gem. Although a buggy and broken sometimes mess...if you can get past it its actually quite a fun game but still a title that needs support and some fixes. I am not a programmer, But I want to reach out to anyone willing to support a possible future project into cleaning up some still present bugs and gameplay tweaks.
