bb 67 USS Montana (1.6)
This is my Montana class bb concept for the US Navy. It is equipped with 12 16" 50cal main guns, 20 5" 38cal secondary guns and many different 20mm and 40mm anti aircraft guns. Good armor protection and decent top speed makes this a very formidable ship had the navy actually built them. The textures on this ship are excelent. This battleship looks like it's been at sea a while, so nice job on the weathering. Now, go blast some Japs!
US Destroyer pack (V1.0)
This is a really great pack of highly detailed US Destroyers to flesh out your American task forces. I believe you can go up against these as a German player, and they will probably show up in the next update to fall of the Rising sun, and probably others because the author allows them to be used by other modders for their mods. Now to get on with it, we have a pack here that is mainly destroyer classes, 6 to be exact, Benson, Benham, Fletcher 2, Sumner, Smith, and Gearing. There is also one Frigate, the Tacoma, and one CL, the Atlanta class, included in the pack. Every ship shows really nice detail, and was built from images of actual ships to be a close as possible to historical shape and siloette. I've aquired quite a gallery of images form the dev thread so I think it's best to let them do the talking from here on.
No Trembling Water
This mod eliminates a tremblign water effect when your sub is submerged and viewed with the external cam
Real Clothes (V2.0)
This gives your crew a much more realistic wardrobe. No more seeing everyone in crisp clean diggs. Damage crontrol teams are extra filthy!
FotRS Carrier upgrade 2
This mod adds The Enterprise, Saratoga, Essex, and Soryo class carriers to the game. Each carrier is highly detailed, where you can see into open elevators, have working AA cover and even planes on deck that can explode if the carrier is attacked by your sub or opposing air forces.
Fall of the Rising Sun (1.2)
NOTICE: don't forget to download the updates linked at the bottom!!

This mod is based on the popular TMO mod, but features an AI that is not so challenging. Additionaly, many new units are added. This includes the famous Narwhal class sub, the fictional German "Germainia" Battleship, and several other ships including battleships, carriers, destroyers and merchants of all sizes. These additions can be found in British, US, German and Japanese forces. One of the things I like is that ships leave burning oil slicks when damaged. I'ev seen this most often in tankers and cruisers, and it lasts only a short time to simulate repairs. Airtraffic is also reduced, so the planes aren't as annoying, but they are better at killing you. Betty's will fly in to release torpedo, and zero's will shoot and bomb you. H6k and H8k can be equiped with a depth charge.

Bugs. There are 2 things that the devs should consider fixing, and one of the biggest ones are the missing descriptions while on the upgrade screens. All the stats for the torpedo types and other equipment upgrades can be annoying at times and if you don't have your torpedo types memorized, you might not remember what types best suit your playing style. I also experienced a bug where my sub would not relaunch after returning to a home port. Minor bugs also include a whale ship which almost completely dissapears when hit. The good news is, this mod is being activley developed, so hopefully these problems will be short lived.

All it all, this mod has the best of everything. It has alot of eyecandy and new units to sink and shoot up, but the AI isn't so bad that beginners can't enjoy it regardless of your realism setting.

    The Great Thumbnail Rebuild

    posted by MrMason Site News
We have been gearing up for some time to get ready to rebuild the thumbnails for over 2.5 million images that you’ve all uploaded over the years so that they are a much higher quality for the new website design that we've been working on.

We kicked off this rebuilding process at the start of last week, and it is now complete. The higher quality thumbnails may take some time to filter down through our various CDN providers as they are heavily cached.

Some of you may have noticed over the last few weeks a few subtle changes that we've made to the way thumbnail images are displayed on the websit ...(continue reading the full article)

This week we have some cracking picks for you all to take a look at. SirSalami has found an incredible dodge mod for Skyrim that not only adds an ability for you to dodge attacks, but also your enemies. We have a name! And a Q&A session with Tannin regarding the new mod mana...

    posted by Dark0ne Site News
It's been awhile since we mentioned our work on the new mod manager. For a quick recap of "recent" events, back in August 2016 we brought on Tannin (of Mod Organizer fame) to head up work on a completely new mod manager for Nexus Mods. He's been working on it along with the two original NMM programmers ever since.

Tannin's remit is simple on the surface, we want a mod manager for Nexus Mods that can handle modding for as many games as possible and that can be both simple for newcomers to use while containing (or supporting) all the advanced functionality users have come to expect from mod manag ...(continue reading the full article)

    Staff Picks - 03 May 2017

This week they are all picks from within our Bethesda games. Terrorfox couldn't decide on just one mod, so has actually chosen 4 from the same author, all of which add additional beasties or variants of into your Skyrim game. I have chosen a mod that I think really adds a bit of variety to an otherwise annoying (but necessary) part of gaming - fast travel. SirSalami has also addressed one of his gaming pet-peeves of only being able to save a game from retiring to a bed by looking at a mod that allows far more diversity in save locations. Finally, our community member iMACobra has selected a mo ...(continue reading the full article)
