Taking place on and below the streets of Tacoma, the player's personal defeats become the basis for future triumphs. Begin as a regular John/Jane Doe, just trying to make ends meet, and watch as your life shatters and is rebuilt, changing you forever. A story-driven campaign, this prologue is designed to throw you into the story, introducing you to a varied cast of characters: your sister, Kirah; Tang Hao, a vendor in the nearby night market; Dr. Nolan, a ranking physician at Humana Hospital; and a pair of runners in a bit of a situation.
This is the Prologue to my campaign in development, How We Live, How We Die, and will be expanded in future installments. As this is the introduction to a longer project, the current gameplay is reasonably linear - dialogue heavy, theatre sequences, and focusing more on fleshing out some of the primary characters.
Estimated Play Time: Prologue -- ~20 minutes.
Project Status: Barring any bug fixes or glaring missteps, the Prologue is complete. Part 1 is currently under development.
Notes: I wanted to get this prologue out to the players, as they're the biggest critics for any creative endeavor like this. I'm open to feedback and critique, so feel free to rip it apart - I won't be able to improve unless I know my weaknesses.
