I just fininshed the UGC, and I can't not toss in a comment of appreciation. It was bloody amazing,

I could write a whole essay praising its high quality in detail, how tight the story feels, how polished every encounter is, how choices have consequences, how bug free (at least for me) it was, with only very minor nitpicks to remind me that this was indeed a mod and not official content. But I will have to settle with just saying: Thank you for making thing. Excellent work.

Thanks for taking the time to write! I'm always happy to hear that someone had a bug-free run. And I'm glad that you enjoyed the choices and consequences, that was one of my favorite parts while making this. Cheers!

This is amazing. I've seen a number of major mods, and what sets Antumbra Saga apart is how together the whole thing feels. Same league as official campaigns - not as epic as Dragonfall, not as personal and varied as HK, but stronger on some things, and quite a bit better than DMS.

Probably the best-polished mod out there. Not sure you could tell it's not an official campaign without knowing in advance (with the Caldecott Caper you can). Didn't encounter any bugs through the whole game, not counting the engine's Matrix thing, which happens in Dragonfall too.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I wanted to thank you for the very kind comment - I really enjoyed playing the official campaigns, and I'm glad to hear that you thought this was in the same league. And yes, that Matrix glitch is annoying! I'm glad that it doesn't completely freeze the game, it's good to hear that you were able to get past it. Cheers!

Thank you very, very much seberin, for this UGC.
That was great fun again to go through Antumbra (1 - 3) in one UGC (I'd played the three parts on Shadowrun Returns and have been very enthusiastic). Imho, a superb storytelling, suspending and challenging UCG you provided us with

    Spoiler:

Thank you very much again for providing us with fun, additional game play hours and a thrilling "mod"

Hey, thank you so much for the nice note! Good to hear from an "old-timer" who played the original mods, that feels like a very long time ago! Congrats on your win!

Is there any chance you might port this mod the Hong Kong Engine? That would be amazing.

Thanks for the interest! Unfortunately, no, I won't be porting this mod. Harebrained Schemes removed a lot of stuff from the Dragonfall engine when they made Hong Kong, including all of the music I use here, a bunch of disguises and 3D models, as well as changing how the underlying engine works. Converting to SRHK would take a ton of time, introduce a lot of new bugs, and the end result wouldn't be significantly better than the Dragonfall version. I'll continue to support this version as needed, but won't be porting it.

If you haven't already checked out The Caldecott Caper, that was built from the ground up for Hong Kong, and does support a lot of the new HK features like initiating combat and new cyberware.

Overall very good and high quality mod on par with the HBS created campaigns.
I felt there was a good mix of all skills to be used without feeling that going one route over another overly hampered progress.

Only issue that I was somewhat annoyed about was that in the final mission, you are told you can use spares to equip your team, but after doing so, none of those items appeared in the inventory of any of the characters.

Thanks for the note, glad you enjoyed it!

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem you mentioned about items loaned to teammates not appearing in their inventory. Do you remember which items you gave to which characters? Did you notice anything else unusual about equipping them? Thanks!

Hm, looks like DC has a somewhat different way to install cyber.

Anyway... Antumbra is as good as it gets, just letting you all know.

    Stuck in "The 5"...

Running Antumbra Saga-3-1-0-0.zip with the latest GOG version at that time. I killed all thugs up to the Stuffer Shak. Looks like a van is blocking an exit toward a parking lot... and that's it. So my group is running in circle there. I tried going back to the beginning of the level, there is no yellow arrow pointing toward the goal. I am stuck!

    Help!

    SuNo

Edit: In the playthrough above, I failed the optional mission to "draw out the gang leaders" and killed Darby. I replayed the level until finding the correct dialog sequence, and it works well. I now have acces to the junkyard.
Looks like a scripting bug to me that you could fail an optional mission and get in a dead end.

      Glad you got past it!

For future reference, if you kill Dorbi, you can complete the level by returning to the start of the level and clicking on the water tanker truck. I'll add a waypoint to the tanker so it's harder for players to miss.

    Hi,

I installed this today and it shows up in the content list and as playable, but when I try to start it, after selecting the difficulty I'm always returned to the main menu.
Do I have to do anything but put it into the folder? Change any properties or something like that?

Make sure you're using the latest version of Dragonfall Director's Cut, which I think is 2.0.9. Also, are you able to start a new game of the official Dragonfall campaign? If not, there's probably something wrong with your installation.

Other than that, you shouldn't need to do anything special to run it.

Never mind. I saw the problem right now. I need to install the Dragonfall DC and I've only installed the regular DLC so far. I was wondering why a DLC would get a whole new category.

      Sorry.

Ah, no problem - thanks for following up! I hadn't realized that this campaign would even appear if it was installed in the vanilla game, so that's good for me to know.

If you have (or are planning to get) DC, then I definitely recommend installing this version of mod. If you only have the non-DC game, though, then you can grab the older version instead.

Great, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it! And I'm glad that you didn't run into any bugs... that wasn't always the case, but I think the last few updates have patched things up nicely.

If you own Shadowrun: Hong Kong, you might be interested in The Caldecott Caper. It isn't exactly a sequel, but is a full campaign set in CalFree a few years after the ending of Antumbra Saga. There are a couple of cameos from the first game in it. Have fun!

@moguba You'll need to be logged into a NexusMods account to access The Caldecott Caper. It's flagged as "adult" content since it includes profanity and some adult situations, so if it isn't showing up for you, make sure you're not set up to ignore adult mods. (Or just skip it if that stuff bothers you. :-) )
