ELEMENTAL BLADE POWERS
Lightning of Tomoe- Applies lightning to your blade, which causes nearby enemies to be knocked back upon activation. Once it is activated it can be thrown with a jump slash or with Sakura Dance.
Forbidden Art of Terror- Applies the "White Bestowal" effect to your blade which grants you the ability to steal life.
Ako's Art of the Secret Fire- Applies the "Fire" effect to your blade and will burn your victims when struck.
Ungo's Art of the Sacred Flame- Applies the "Lazulite Sacred Flame" effect to your blade and is effective against all of the same enemies.
Gokan's Art of the Falcon's Wings- Applies the "Golden Vortex" effect to your blade and will turn your enemies when hit.
Gachiin's Art of the Serpents Venom- Applies the "Poison Bestowal" effect to your blade and will poison enemies when hit.
Yashariku's Art of the Fallen- Applies the normal red "Bestowal" effect to your blade and gives Wolf red eyes.
NOTES:
- Gokan's Art of the Falcon's Wings will not be able to be overwritten by another one of the abilities for the first 5 seconds upon activation. For those 5 seconds the effect will stay on the blade through any attack. After those five seconds are over the effect will last for 7.5 more seconds or until an attack is made.
- The Lightning of Tomoe replaces the Fine Snow consumable and the Forbidden Art of Terror replaces the Taro Persimmon. Neither are essential to completing or receiving a certain ending for the game. Both of these items are sort of quest rewards that will make obtaining these Arts a bit more of a task on a new playthrough. All of the others replace the spiritfalls.
- All of these effect will last for 30 seconds except for Gokan's Art of the Falcon's Wings. Though Gokan's Art costs the least amount of spirit emblems and has the fast animation for activation in order to compensate.
There are 3 files included with this mod. A spirit emblem version, which tries to balance the effects with the cost of spirit emblems in order to use each ability. A spirit emblem lite version, where it costs less spirit emblems to use each one. A free version where it doesn't cost any spirit emblems.
UPDATES
Update 1.1: Changed the activation effect on most of the abilities. In my opinion the color consistency and effects look better now.
Update 1.2: I removed the side effect this would have on the other abilities in game (normal bestowal ninjitsu giving red eyes, both flame vent attacks now lasting 30 seconds). They are now unaffected, in case you ever just wanted to ignore these consumables and play normally without having to uninstall. I also decided to create a version that has the lightning attack tied to Sakura Dance instead. So now Sakura Dance is the Lightning of Tomoe combat art and will conjure lightning when used. Fine Snow has been returned to normal with this version.
Update 1.3: I fixed a problem where when you would use one of the consumables, any other effect that was currently active would be deactivated (sugars for example). I also decided to up the duration for each one to 40 seconds instead of 30. Lastly I made another combat art version. In this version the regular Sakura Dance attack replaces Shadowrush (Shadowfall remains unaltered) and Sakura Dance is replaced by the Lightning of Tomoe combat art (Note: In order for this to work the game is told lightning is on your blade at all times while the Lightning of Tomoe combat art is equipped. The visual effects will not be visible though, but when you jump attack you will throw lightning as long as it is equipped).
