NOTE ABOUT 1.06: I have released Mod Engine 0.1.16 with support for Sekiro 1.06. As for many mods, they will likely be broken and require updates from the mod authors. If you run into issues like the Sakura dance being broken, your mod is likely not compatible. Some mods may never be updated. If you're interested in playing mods not compatible with 1.05/1.06, I highly recommend downgrading to 1.04. You can find a guide on how to download older versions of Steam games here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/611h5e/guide_how_to_download_older_versions_of_a_game_on/
For those who are running into issues or need help:
I have largely moved on to other modding projects and don't check comments on this page often anymore. I'm very active on the Souls modding discord, so the recommended way to get a response to any issues is to join this server and post your problem in #tech-support.
I was scrolling through the comments but didn't find the answer but if you have multiple dinput8.dll files, not just 2 but more than that. How do you change the modengine file to incorporate all mods? Should i add another "chainDInput8DLLPath=""" for every dinput8?
I do not understand which mod I download, it does not work from the word at all, I throw all folders and files where necessary, but there was no mod, and there is no mod. Can you help me?
Here is an other Fatal Application Exit fix: (dinput8.dll causes the problem)
- If you use Bitdefender Antivirus
then
- You have to open Bitdefender and in the Protection tab you find Advanced Threat Defense
Click Open > Select Settings tab > Manage Exceptions > +Add an Exception and add sekiro.exe you also able to drag & drop the file if this Window is Open.
As a member of this great community, I truly thank you you giving us the opportunity of enjoying this game to its fullest. My question is can I run multiple mods all together ? Because some have the same parts file and I can't seem to make them operate together. My max mods are 2
Hello, I would like to know if there are viruses in version 0.1.16. Because virustotal gives me this picture when checking the file "dinput8.dll". “Trojan.Malware.300983.susgen” - I googled it and found out that this is a problematic virus (in terms of stealing passwords/logins and spying on the rest of my activity). The second is “Win/malicious_confidence_60% (D)” - quote: “Will render your operating system inoperable if there is no system recovery image.” The third one is "Malicious (score: 100)". Quote: “This doesn’t mean anything at all, it just means that some antivirus suspects that this is possibly a malicious file.” The problem is that the previous version of "mod engine" 0.1.15 does not have these viruses. And also the problem is that the mod that I want to install "LMTSR" is only supported with version 0.1.16 of the "mod engine"
But I'm scared - checked this mod on virustotal and some 3 scans say it has virus files in it :/.
I know it's mostly false positiv thing but I just wanted to make sure I can use it without fear...someone tested the newest version already and can confirm it's virus-free?
When is the newest version updated? 2020? I download the mod and check it with TotalAv, Avira, Malwarebytes and Windows defender offline, no viruses found.

I need this mod to make other mods work :D.

Ty!
I installed the mod engine and now Sekiro won't boot. Even when I remove the mod engine, it won't boot. RIP.
