How would you go on in switching the music? I'm trying to learn but its says that the FSB is encrypted plus which file switches what. I'm trying to replace the combat music with something from Dark Souls

    great job tho. :)

You need the encryption key and fsbext to decrypt and re-encrypt the files. The key can be found out using fsbext or googling, i won't post it here as i'm not sure if it's allowed. Then you can use DSSI to replace the music files and set loop points which will be important if you are swapping music.

sm10 contains music for Hirata Estate
sm 11 - Dilapidated temple, ashina outskirts, reservoir, castle
      sm13 - Abandoned dungeon
      sm15 - Mibu Village
sm17 - Ashina depths and sunken valley
      sm20 - Senpou temple
      sm25 - Fountainhead palace

You will have to use hearing as i did to find out which music file is which.

Hey so im trying to put my own music in the game and i found the key, but im not sure what to do. it outputs the files as mp3's that are unplayable and i have no idea how to do anything with this. any help would be nice, thanks!

Update 1: So I found programs that are made for ripping sound and extracting it from Dark Souls 3 and information on how to use them at these three sites
      http://aluigi.altervista.org/search.php?src=fsbext - Program
https://zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?t=11083 - Password Key for Sekiro
https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=16059 - Batch file code for the Dark Souls 3 sounds to be extracted properly

Obviously when looking at these, I can just replace the Dark Souls 3 password with the Sekiro one, but the problem then becomes where to plug this into the programs that are used for it. making your own batch file with this code doesn't work because you need their program to run it in order to get the right file types, so i'm not sure what to do. At this point i'm pretty stuck.. looking online hasn't helped much. any further help with this would be highly appreciated!

also if there is a different way you did this i would love to know. thanks!

Almost had my hopes up then! hahah

I thought you'd figured out a way to stop the enemy music and keep the BG music playing ;)

Nice work though, keep it up

I wish i could do this but the game is programmed to switch tracks when you enter or exit combat. Replacing the combat music with ambient music would just cause it to repeat and loop whenever you enter combat so that wouldn't work at all.
