So I'd like to cap my FPS on 145FPS (otherwise it might only reach 143FPS (at least that's how it is in any other game)), but in recent FROM games that would cause MANY issues. Is that still the case here? Are there any things that could happen while playing the game at >60FPS? I've heard the jumping is shorter (sounds true, cuz capping the FPS to something lower allows you to easily skip the Ogre boss-fight).

This will be the very last time I reply to this question, just skipping over a few pages answers this multiple times already. The games physics aren't bound to frame rate so unlocking them won't do any harm. In fact, the framerate on consoles is fluctuating without any fixed fps. There was no reason at all for FromSoftware to even include a frame lock in the first place. Thousands of players have completed the game with unlocked frame rate already, nobody has reported any problems or bugs.

If you are using G-Sync/FreeSync you should however cap your frame rate a few fps below your refresh rate or G-Sync /FreeSync will turn itself off before you even hit your max refresh rate. On a 144Hz Monitor you should cap to 138 fps. battle(non)sense had a video on that: https://youtu.be/L42nx6ubpfg?t=378
This is true for basically all G-Sync games.

Awesome mod! Any chance of getting the red vignettes to the borders when playing in 21:9 resolutions?

Please have a look at limitations:

      • due to how the game renders the HUD is limited to 16:9 even on 21:9 resolutions
FromSoft hardcoded the "red vignettes" to 16:9, you can remove them by replacing shaders but there is nothing I can do about it without modifying game files.

Is it possible by any means to reset my spirit emblem capacity back to 20? They got increased by prosthetic tool upgrades and I didn't know that it would be permanent.

Looks like nvidia inspector is completely different than your screenshots so there is no way to set the preferred refresh rate. Oh well, I guess ultra wide isn't worth losing something as critical as vsync.

    For Gsync users:

Got it working perfectly with fps unlock, custom res and GSYNC on app version 1.06
Note I got a "version 1.6.0" warning when first patching the game, but still works fine.

Followed the instructions exactly, including GSYNC section, with the addition of a few tweaks from the troubleshooting section:
    - had to 'disable fullscreen optimizations' in the exe properties
    - had to force VSYNC ON in the game's NVCP settings
    - also make sure to start the game first, then this mod.

Everything else followed the mod how-to. I'm on a 2070 Super with current driver (545.84). Not using Reshade, etc., nothing crazy.

Also note you can hit 'Display > Gsync indicator' in NVCP to help test. should see green 'G-SYNC' in top right.

    Thanks uberhalit! Game's a beaut!

Okay, so this is a great mod with a lot of tricks. But due to the games limitations you might still run into issues..

This is just my use case:
Im on an lg cx, and wanted to change to a custom res with 90 hz and g-sync. Made sure to follow the instructions which were good.

But here's what I ran into:
    - When switching from windowed to full screen 90 hz, the game crashes.
    - When in full screen and switching to any 90 hz resolution the monitor goes black with these jaggy scanlines like you get with an unsupported resolution.
Even though it is supported and otherwise work on lg cx. Might be due to the game trying to switch to HDR? Which is a bug that happens every time you start the game or switch to fullscreen ( When you have an HDR display )

    - Tried to get around the problem and chose borderless fullscreen and thanks to this mod, it worked. But then I got stutters instead. Even though g-sync was active for both full screen and windowed.
    - So I gave up and just kept the FOV hack. But then I get an issue with random fps to drops to 30 - 40 if I ever alt-tab out of the game.. ;)

So yeah... back to 60 hz console mode
