Thanks for this mod! I was not sure if will look that great removing the pixel art effect let´s say but it really looks very pretty I will give it a try.
I am playing on SteamDeck and I didn´t see instructions for the Deck, I copied the files and tried to start the game but it crashes. If someone is facing same issue is only needed to add the following line in launch parameters of the game shortcut.
Such a simple but wonderful change to this game's appearance! Got it working on both desktop and Steam Deck, and I just wanted to shout out the reshade-steam-proton project for making reshade installation relatively easy on the Steam Deck, and maybe Linux in general. If you use it, remember to RTFM, so you don't miss the part about adding WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3dcompiler_47=n;dxgi=n,b" %command% as a launch param for the game.
This mod is absolutely incredible! I am so glad I switched to PC Gaming. I have been a console gamer for over 30 years, and just got my first ever PC Gaming computer. My other computers could never run even a game like this one. And, this isn't even a very demanding game. lol. Seriously, not only is PC Gaming leaps and bounds way better in terms of frame rates and fidelity compared to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles, but my second favorite aspect about it is the modding community. The mods people are making are blowing me away. I did not expect mods to be this popular, and totally game changing. I honestly think that mods are the future of of next-gen gaming. I mean, modders are making games that are already a masterpiece, and making them even better. I started off with Starfield mods due to DLSS, then i tried some Baldur's Gate 3 mods, and now Sea of Stars.
Any game I buy from this day forward, I'm coming here to NexusMods. It's been a total blast!

Now THIS is just what I was hoping for! I'm really grateful that you made this awsome mod! For some nonsense reason devs thinks nowadays that a load of pixels looks nice and they call that "art". I mean sure, it WAS art back in the 90's, as I was in love with all the jrpgs back than too. But for f'sake, why do I have to look at pixels in the age of UE5? With this mod, you made SoS a game that I can finally play. Thank you so much! Oh, and it also works fine and flawless.
Let's hope devs continue to ignore you and make beautiful pixel art rather than using smoothing filters that make everything look like a cheap mobile game.
